Pointless waiting until Monday. Everyone looking in knows the manager is an awful fit and probably should not have been appointed to begin with.

If you’re going to get rid anyway, which you are, why wait until Monday?

Unfortunately it's Sullivan's MO. He is all flash with the cash for players but for a good manager? Na

We had the man united manager agreed to sign in the summer but Sullivan wouldn't pay the 10 million release fee for him and his staff. Instead he could get an ex Madrid manager with premier league experience for nothing

Same when pellers was manager.. he never sacked Moyes (would have to pay him) he let him go for free and then got in MP for free

He's too tight to pay

If we win monday he won't be sacked

If Sullivan feels we will stay in the league he won't sack the manager

Well at least the M6 was kind, what an absolute pathetic performance that was. Everton weren't great and scored 4, says it all.

Get him gone.

Its really not going well is it, the model of just selling your best players every year is never going to help either.

Hope you boys stay up, long season to go still.

Great to see Tyrone Mings back in the starting XI last night, commanded the defence like he'd never been away.

Shame to concede such a poor goal but a big step in the right direction.

Southampton this weekend - followed by our final CL game of 2024!

Up the Villa!

Rumours of giving him the West Ham game on Monday, we all know he's not good enough and it's just delaying the inevitable.
A decent coach would have this squad half way up the table.

Just feels like kicking a can down the road though, what's one more game going to prove?

Better to just cut ties and move on now surely!

I agree, no reason your team shouldn't be in the 9-12th place bracket.

xG has to be the biggest load of tosh ever dreamed up by statisticians. A team can have a ludicrously high xG but, unless they can convert, it’s all utterly meaningless.
xG should just be an intermediate calculation towards a more important stat. That being: Goals Actually Scored / xG

A high number means you have some very clinical finishers. A low stat means you have an impotent set of attackers who can't score their fair share of opportunities.

That being said, I've no idea how xG is calculated. I suspect it is only based on chances that actually end in a shot? I've watched Utd play in the past, and they've had several unbelievably good chances, but they then make a horrific pass or make a really poor decision not to make the easy pass. You think xG would be good simply because they got themselves into great areas, yet it was ridiculously low.

Actually, my curiosity got the better of me, so I googled it. It is as I expected, only shots are counted. So, a team knocks 10 dangerous balls across the goalmouth but don't actually get a shot off, xG for those 10 dangerous moments would be zero. If an own goal is scored, I think that is an xG of 0.00

Nunes simply isn't good enough. He has had plenty of opportunities, he just isn't the one. I'm happy with the status quo, Salah plus a decent striker would improve Liverpool beyond a point I don't want to contemplate 🫣 .

Any Liverpool fan still hoping he will come good is on a par with Utd fans who kept expecting ETH to turn it around (incidentally, can people finally stop using the Ferguson one more game example? How many managers has that been trotted out for now? )
