Portugal went home because they insisted on playing a slow, aged has-been up front for 120 mins...
...We're in danger of doing the same!
I was lambasted at the club when I said he was immobile.. He is immobile, he is not in the expected place.. Saka has put balls in and they should have been collected
You watch Kane and he walks with the central defenders .. he isn’t making runs or pulling them out of position

On the wrong sides! Trippier is right footed, Saka left, so when defending Trippier is having to come inside on to his right foot.
We do look a lot better in this system, but it's funny how in terms of shape it's not actually that different. Saka is defending a little deeper obviously, as a wing back, but still on the right. Foden and Bellingham have kind of just swapped places. It's just a slightly lop-sided version of what we had. But remarkably, it does seem to have created some space in that central area which is good.

Agree, but all the talk pre-match was playing 3 at the back with Saka & Trippier on opposite sides.

No one has created 1 decent chance, kane is poor and way too slow and deep, saka can’t use his right foot at all so just cuts back inside even after beating his man, Bellingham and foden seem to lack that quick in to feet and move like they do for their clubs.

We are still slow across the back 3 and back and forth and Pickford is still kicking long too often.

It’s 0-0 and apart from all that it’s going great

Yes reminds me of an over 50s walking football match.

Not just this system tho, this is the first real team we have played that come out and play

Before it was very much playing against the low block or kicking our players

We are able to get a little bit more speed on the ball
