I actually thought pogba was an utter clown and had many arguements with my grandson over him. Glad to see I was right....again. oh and that lumbering ox that plays upfront for Milan and Belgium. Lord how he showed his class in the cl final v city, thank god. Oh and I was quick to text gson on that one as well. I'm not a bad judge of players.Actually can we add Pogba to the list. Another player with immense talent that seemed to let it drift away to the point of being banned. He should have won lots more than he did and even in an average United side he hardly set the world alight on a regular basis.
Great shout in Barton but can we also add into what is becoming a football room 101 -
Casemeiro - another serial diver and whinger
Ronaldho - banned in Saudi for a gesture to the fans
Vincent Kompany - a manger that has stuck to a plan all season that clearly isn't working.
Pogba banned for 4 years.
I suppose that reduces the temptation for Man Utd in putting in a cheeky £100millio+ bid for him![]()
Just watched the video. Honestly, I'm not overly impressed, or it doesn't really offer me any additional insight. It makes me feel like Rashford is really playing on him being the victim in all this, and I think that is poor (and the sombre music in the background is just a bit over dramatic).Interesting read for Utd (and all) fans from Rashford if you havent seen it

Who I Really Am | By Marcus Rashford
I can’t help but want people to just understand who I am as a person.www.theplayerstribune.com
In which case can we stick Southgate on the list (or room 101)All three are answering the managers call up.
GS is responsible here.

If your assessment of him is accurate.Just watched the video. Honestly, I'm not overly impressed, or it doesn't really offer me any additional insight. Don't get me wrong, I really want him to do well, and he clearly has some big issues. I've no doubt he wants to do well, but his head has just gone. It is why he wasn't on my "want to punch" list, because I think he is genuinely probably a nice guy.
In the document it starts by him doing his campaigning during Covid, and that has seemed to rub some media up the wrong way, and as a result they are writing negative stuff about him. That is absolute rubbish from where I see it. His campaigning was brilliant, and all the press loved it (especially as it was against the government, and at the sensitive Covid time), they have praised him constantly. I suspect it is much harder to criticise a player that has become a bit of a national treasure, so to speak, as the public would slam the journalist. The media loved him last year when he banged in the goals.
The media are writing negative stuff about him now because his performances are appalling. Not just bad, but horrific and such a huge drop from last year. But his body language indicates to us all that he just can't be bothered. That he has given up, or at least he gives up early in the game after just one minor set back. They are writing negative stuff because he misses training after a night out. Perhaps other players do this, they get disciplined and it never really makes the light of day. But, Rashford is a high profile player, in a high profile team doing badly. He needs to understand that these things get noticed and talked about.
I can talk about past Utd players like Beckham. I mean Beckham had more publicity that anyone I ever knew. Loads loved him, loads hated him. There were effigies of him being burnt after the World Cup, he was mocked for his voice and apparent stupidity, and I'm sure all sorts of criticism for things now forgotten. But, he always put in 100% effort in every game, and generally was always fantastic. I watched Antony last night. He was poor, but he still did a decent amount of defensive work. Several times I applauded him for tracking back and winning the ball. Basic stuff, but I'll never be critical of a players attitude if they do the basics like that, and their body language indicates they are up for the battle. Rashford gives us none of that. He might put a token run in once or twice, but generally just gives up running, backs off 50/50's, etc.
Perfect example that it is better to do your talking on the pitch.
It don’t matter coz he has a high pain threshold according to THhe'd take all 10 positions in most lists
We had this chat in here recently. If your assessment of him is accurate.
Why is ETH still playing him.
He needs a kick up the arse or an arm around his shoulder.
But to just let him play like this is not doing any favours that’s the managers job.
I’m suprized the other players havnt said something.

add Lee Dixon to the list, as well as Iain Dowie...never have two footballers had so punchable faces.
Thinks he’s way better than he actually is,so doesn’t put the work in imo. That article/video Rashford has released sums up his problem perfectly. Utterly deluded. No one really cares about him bar Man Utd fans. I'd argue he's got a great reputatuon across the country due to his charity work but he's trying to portray himself as some sort of victim who has struggled and everyone hates. He claims to be an introvert yet happily drives around Manc in a gold Bentley parking on pavements
All this drama and attention seeking is needless. It never happens at other top clubs yet it's a regular event at Old Trafford. The club and manager can't have allowed that to be released during a really crucial few weeks. In the words of Roy Keane "Just do your job".
Man Utd are far bigger than the likes of Ronaldo, let alone him. I think it's highly likely he'll join PSG in the summer to replace Mbappe where he'll be hero worshipped and the fresh start will do him good.

The thing was when he burst onto the scene (not in a Michah Richards way) he would track back, chase lost balls and put a shift in. He's clearly surrounded by yes men and is living in a dreamworld.
I rate him higher than most and he was the main reason Man Utd finished in the top four last season and won a trophy. How can you go from 30 goals and carrying a team to looking like a passenger who has a PR team putting this stuff out?

As for dislikable plays has anyone mentioned Kevin Muscat? Dennis Wise was also a horrible little rat. Recall a time both of them were at Millwall with obvious results.
