Just read a piece about Darwin Nunez, apparently he has just played his 60th game for Liverpool so they have had to pay another £8.5 million to Benfica. So how long before he fulfils his potential. According to Wikipedia he has scored 13 goals. Is that right 🤔
He is worth every penny.

I think he's good and I have no idea why they don't start him more often, when the alternative is putting a winger up top, pretty much.

Just thought I would give a massive thumbs up to the travelling fans of Brighton.

I was at Grantham station on Saturday getting a train to Nottingham and a number of trains from Brighton change at Grantham for Nottingham where they were playing forest. Trouble is the trains to Nottingham are only 2 carriages and 2 an hour at weekends. Not great for moving hundreds of football fans. Anyway, it was chaos but they were all polite, friendly, understanding of those stood around being held up who were not football fans and immaculately behaved on the trains when we were all jammed on them. A credit to their club.

Pep Guardiola

Nope

I love a "best this calendar year" stat. Normally the mainstay of my Spurs supporting friends.

Class aren't they!

Its a sign of positivity and stats are similar since he came in just over a year ago.

He's well and truly transformed a good but underperforming team into a very good one - and that's all I want as a football fan!

Your heart must be tinged with some sadness that Stevie G is no longer your manager.

In 2023, Have Man City not got 82 points, Arsenal and Villa both on 71?

I think what happened towards the end of that game was a disgrace. A clear headbutt to a Wolves player and because he didn't go down VAR refused to take action. The penalty at the end was laughable. Never a penalty and no way near enough for VAR to get involved.

Those in charge of VAR tonight should be suspended and the ref demoted as he's got a spine made of jelly for agreeing with those in his ear. If that was in a bigger game it would be headline news, it'll probably be swept under the carpet. It's time teams need to start walking off the pitch and ruining it for TV and betting companies. It's only when those things are impacted will things change as TV and gambling run football.

Not sure that’s written right but I would say that TV and Gambling both run and ruin football.👍

That swept under the carpet bit is spot on, it's only Wolves.

We've been absolutely cheated on 5 occasions this season and nothing has been done.

We've had fans take annual leave and travel down at an expensive time of the year and we've got decisions like that just ruin it.

You've been badly done by VAR this season, right from the penalty at Old Trafford that wasn't given. Those decisions have cost you what, say 6 points minium? Just walk off and put the pressure on the refs and the PL.

As a fan of a lower leage team that goes away, I feel the pain of the travelling fan. To go all that way and get clearly cheated is a bad look for English football.

Just had a read on the Prem site re VAR.

This is the first couple of sentence.
Quote,
Why was the system of a Video Assistant Referee (VAR) introduced into the Premier League?

Premier League match officials can make mistakes and those mistakes can have an impact on the outcome of a match.

Because technology lets people see immediately on TV or on their phones that mistakes have been made, why not use that technology to help what is happening on the pitch?

Sounds brilliant, but mistakes are being made by VAR and the people running it. Not just the referees.
