Spurs the better team by miles but we have no defenders playing so of course Watkins scores a simple goal. We really should have had four goals by now.

Don't rate Gil at all either, never have. He's just not on the same wavelength as the others, and completely allergic to using his right foot.

I'm not sure they are better by miles. They play some decent stuff, and started very well. But Villa look to just be playing like many away sides. Let Spurs have possession, try and defend well and the attack quickly. It feels like Villa look just as dangerous as Spurs

If we could just have an effort on goal instead of tapping it around looking for the perfect unmissable chance we'd have scored 3 or 4 by now.

Villa look dangerous because we have no defenders.

Curious team selection from ETH.

Delighted to see Shaw back, but really bemused as to why Dalot, who has been very poor most of this season, is starting ahead of AWB.

And much as I am pleased to see Garnacho starting, it means Rashford looks to be shifted out to the right, where he is genuinely awful.

And the bench hasn’t got a single game changer on it, with the possible exception of Pellistri. My 1-0 United win in my Super6 looks mighty ambitious.

Re Gil, the one footed footballer is a real pet hate of mine. We all have a stronger leg but to refuse to use the other one just makes life easier for the defender you are up against.

You are lacking defenders but also a striker. No, I won't mention you know who but blimey, how many chances have you had? How many times has Son been given offside? Presumably pushing forward that little bit further.

I wonder if he still doesn't trust the fitness of AWB? Not for a full game anyway. But I agree, my heart sinks when I see Dalot in defence.

There are too many players in Utd side that ETH will find it difficult to trust based on their performances, so I'm sure it will be rare to see 11 players we are all delighted with. Mind you, I thought Rashford may benefit once Shaw returns. Yet when he does, he gets shifted to right. Although I guess he and Garnacho may well swap wings throughout game.

Just goes to show how subjective observations can be. I thought Villa were better. Spurs were prettier but I remember West Ham being relegated even though they were one of the best sides technically. “Powder puff football” was the label given to it.
