I don't know his name but I hate that interviewer. He does it every single time. Keep prodding them until they say something to get themselves fined.

And yeah that was a shame Johnson had to go off. Would have been a nice battle to see him up against James.

He'll be really good for you. Nice to see Ange utilising him on the left too - I often wondered why Cooper didn't do it occasionally to keep teams guessing - especially when he was our only outlet at times last season.

My fantasy league team was a total disaster as well. I used 4 penalty points getting Salah in and he did naff all against Luton - the other 'makeweight' that I used to get him in was Archer, who I left on my bench. Udogie was 50-50 so I was kinda hoping he wouldn't start because Archer managed 9 points! Udogie did start of course and achieved a score of -4 while those 9 points for Archer go directly in the bin. *sigh*

Really irked me that the knob interviewing him was trying to bait him into criticising them too - like it's to be expected now.
I think most post-match interviewers try and do the same. It is their job to try and get a story, provide more entertainment and talking points for people after. I can understand it to an extent, as an interviewer who just asked very tame, uncontroversial questions wouldn't last too long in the job.

It is just unfortunate for managers, when they are at their most emotional, that they give their response in the heat of the moment, and then risk landing in hot water. Although, they have to factor that in as being part of the job. They have to accept that if they go on a rant, they can end up humiliating themselves. Arteta is just an embarrassment, he simply cannot contain himself. He was all upset becuase the goal was awarded because, as he said, it could have been disallowed for 3 reasons. That fact is meaningless. We all know it couldn't be disallowed for the ball being out or the offside, as VAR simply did not have the concrete evidence (although bit surprised VAR can't make a call on offside, as I thought the cameras and calibrations were set up specifically for that). The push on the back is subjective, some say it was a push and a foul, others say the defender should have headed it away and the push wasn't enough to stop him doing that. So VAR may well have made the right decision not to act anyway, given the subjective element. Had VAR managed to get the ref do disallow the goal, Eddie Howe and Newcastle fans may rightly feel it is an absolute disgrace.

Postecoglou's job in the interview may have been somewhat easier than it could have been, to be fair. Firstly, Arteta made himself a right fool at the weekend, so his response did a good job at taking the moral high ground over the manager of their rivals. Secondly, it is difficult to argue with the decisions that went against Spurs, and they actually got away with a couple before the first red card anyway. So he'd look even sillier than Arteta if he started slamming VAR.

But the good point he made was the time it takes. They said on Sky that in the 57 minutes in the first half, the ball was in play for 23 minutes.

Find them very likeable under Ange. Obviously they've got Ricarlison, who is not likeable in anyway shape, or form; but they've got some likeable dudes who graft hard (impossible to dislike Son) and they play some very attractive football. I tend to keep an eye on them more now Brennan Johnson's gone there (although still looks weird seeing him in anything other than a Forest shirt) - felt for him last night when he was sacrificed after Romero's stupid challenge, having been given his first start (and looked good for it too)
I thought it was one of the best games I've seen this season.
The sending off and replacing Johnson changed the game. He was great going forward down the left with a great assist (very Kane like) for the first goal. Spurs lost that threat which made it a lot harder to threaten Chelsea's back line.
The Spurs keeper was immense, best performance of the season so far!
Never understood why Forest let Johnson go, always liked him and he stood out for me the first time I saw him.

I actually agree.
But seems a bit odd slagging a lad whose scored a hat trick in the PL???

A broken clock is right twice a day. He'll probably be the difference between Chelsea finishing mid table and Top 4 (where all their stats indicate they should be). Unless Nkunku hits the ground running or they sign someone else.

Someone in my league at work had 14 points in total 😂

Just noticed I top scored on the forum league with 40. Strange week.

Yeah, he reminds me of Timo Werner. Has pace, seemingly crowbarred into the central striker role despite ropey finishing when he'd probably be better playing off the left. Still baffles me that they plug away without a striker while Lukaku smashes goals out on loan. 😆 The way they are playing he'd have notched 8 or 9 by now.

Imagine City banging 6 goals, and Haaland, Alvarez and Walker (my 3 City players) bag a total of 5 points. Just an odd one where none of the big players really did anything, except Trippier.

Agree with all of this.

with regards to him being sold, was a case of speculating to accumulate. They'd happily have kept him, I think, but couldn't really turn down £50m profit, which helps with FFP and allowed us to bring in Ibrahim Sangaré as our record signing.

Him in midfield with Nico Dominguez and Orel Mangala is probably the best midfield 3 I've see at Forest since the early to mid-90's...so although it's early days, it looks like it might be good business long term. With that in mind, I've not got an issue with Johnson going. He was going to end up going next summer if not now, but we needed even more squad turnover after last season's signings ended up being a bit hit and miss.
Our squad, overall, as some real quality across the board now. We're a second striker away from having really good depth in all positions.

Credit to Ange for his post match interview on his approach and his refusal to criticise refs or VAR. Some other managers and clubs should have done the same.
Not sure what grievance he could have had with the decisions they seemed to be pretty straightforward. At a push he might moan that Romero wasn’t red carded before he doubled down and conceded the penalty.

The BBC sport website went through all of the VAR decisions last night. All ended correctly, was the reasoned judgement, with the possible exception of the Spurs player not being sent off earlier. In effect, the manager had nothing to complain about official wise. His own players........different story.

Said since he was first signed that Romero is an absolute weapon. He should be sent to the defending school of Maldini and Baresi. Completely headless.

Kudos for the fighting spirit of the Spurs players left to fend for themselves after Postecoglu sent them on a suicide mission with his tactics with one man down, let alone when they were 2 men down. It's one thing to have a vision of how you want your football to be played, but to not show any sign of pragmatism what-so-ever depending on the situation is just plain stupid IMO.

Vicario is a damn good keeper.

It's a shame he's got a screw loose, because he's world class otherwise. You just know he's going to be suspended for 25% of the season. 🤦🏻‍♂️

It's come to something when everyone is shocked that a manager doesn't complain about decisions nowadays. Even with, as mentioned earlier, that idiot interviewer trying to push him into doing so. But you're quite right, we could have easily had red cards to Udogie and Romero before they both got their red cards later on. I think all the disallowed goals were correct to be ruled out by the current rules. Although, when Dier scored his, I must admit I'm in so much doubt about what the offside rule is these days that I thought there was a chance it could have stood - the last touch being off the Chelsea player's head; I remember some other goals in the past that were allowed when it was ruled the defender 'deliberately played the ball' or some such nonsense. Albeit it looked offside by my own understanding of offside, I was fully prepared to be wrong on that. 😆

I always find if you can average 55 a week your on for an ok score over the season

Saying that I'd take 40 this week! 18 is just depressing

So VAR gives Man Utd a penalty for handball when Maguire headed down onto his own hand first…

The number of huge errors at the moment is beyond a joke.
