9 men behind the ball defend on the 18 yard box. Keep disciplined and compact and grab a point?
Doesn't necessarily work. With ten men we still looked the better side and more likely to score. It's the age old conundrum, do you sit back and invite pressure on or try and give them something to worry about? We were that close to getting a 2-2, it was an unreal game.

Hmmm. Spurs and Ange gifted three points IMHO. Deny space behind as Chelsea arent good enough to break them down. And that doesn't mean sit in or park the bus.
I expect we just haven't been trained to play that way. Ange only knows one way to play. I can't knock him, it was great to watch and nearly worked for us, despite the two brain farts and the injuries.

What do you mean? We had good chances to make it 2-2 with nine men! What did you want him to do?

With 10/9 men you have to be narrow, compact and try to attack on the counter attack and take your chances then. To keep plodding on with the high line was playing into Chelsea’s hands.

I wanted him to do exactly what he did.

I think this has been the worst game I have ever seen from a VAR point of view.
I think even Klopp may be asking for a replay after this

VAR are so terrified of making mistakes they're now raking over decisions for ages again, just like they did at the start and we were told this would be ironed out in time! The refs and VAR are getting worse and you have to question the appointment of Howard Webb as things seem to be even more of a farce compared to last season. It's actually a total embarrassment on our game and action needs to be taken. It's positive clubs are releasing staements and ramping the pressure up, I hope a manager has the bottle to take his side off the pitch next time.
