Not Grealish for me !
cuts inside to much just looking for fouls to much.
He has the skills to go past people but chooses not to use them often enough.

Put Henderson wide left GS be happy then.🙈😂
Is this the same Grealish that most people were raving about last season, and who played a big role in the treble winning Man City side?

Just checking we have the same player.

I think it is dependent on the opposition. There'll be some games that England may want to go for the jugular with powerful / quick wide forward play, but there'll be other games they may want to focus more in possession and build up play. Grealish is excellent at that.

Also, if James Ward Prowse ever gets in the side, I think you 100% want Grealish on the pitch. Just think of all the free kicks...

He does my head in.
lots of times we have good possession but he dosnt play the striker in he just holds the ball until he can fall over.

He is a great player but needs to go forward more not sideways.
But maybe he’s under orders from GS!

I would have Foden there if he’s going to play Bellingham as a #10 but Foden is a natural #10 imo.

PS do we get a warning about the game we go for the jugular?
Havnt seen that yet,!

He's had the excitement coached out of him. Not the player he was a few years ago.

Far more sensible and conservative.

I like Grealish but I think Foden and Saka are better - that's the only reason I've not put him in my line-up. If we're struggling to break down a stubborn defence, he'd be my first call from the bench.

Ward-Prowse is an interesting one. He clearly deserves to be in the squad, but I'm still not sure how good he would be if you took the set pieces out of him. Is he good enough to contribute alongside Rice? And although he is the best set piece taker, it's not like Trippier and Trent are awful set piece takers. They're pretty damn good as well.

Didn't he say after his first season at City that Pep is so obsessed with possession that he didn't want to take the same risks at going past players as he did at Villa? He seemed to be a bit freer last season but still nothing like how he was at Villa. He pretty much had the freedom to do whatever there.

I have Saka and Foden in my team. One thing that Grealish does well is hold up the ball. When England are under pressure you need players like him to keep possession. To draw in fouls. He will always put in a shift and protect his defender. Like Foden and stones he understands The game and is not out of his depth when in other parts of the field.

Yes and that’s why City bought him.
But why buy a player and change him for the worse.
Hes very frustrating to watch. Imo and I think Refs have got wise to him.
But he does get his fair share of fouls. But do class international defenders give fouls away when he’s going away from the goal as much as in the PL?

Probably, I don't monitor him as much as I once did tbh, but every time I do see him play he's a shell of the player he used to be.

But, he's won the lot so I'm sure he's happy! And as I say, probably smarter in many senses now, just far less entertaining.

Felt the same about Joe cole, far more entertaining playing with freedom for us but far my successful for chelsea

Yet Liverpool should’ve had a penalty before they did.
Of course wouldn't want Liverpool to feel left out with any unfairness, it's always Liverpool that are hard done by all the time, every day of the year. I vote we just give Liverpool another goal or 2 just to make them feel happier. How about we give them 6 points for this game to make up for stuff.

You seem angry.

The referees were always going to bias Liverpool after the offside VAR shocker. Especially at Anfield.

Mind you, was it Anfield or the Ethiad? The atmosphere was appalling, was like a library. Perhaps the annual supply of prawn sandwiches had arrived.

Just in case you missed it, Middlesbrough are playing at home against Wayne Rooney's Birmingham City.
Proof that some managers are bigger than their clubs.
