So that seems like it should be a penalty - only seen the replay once and it looked like no contact but even if it’s a trailing leg and it’s unbalanced him then that seems like it was the correct call but obviously seems a close call

So the next question with it being such a close and subjective call why did the ref go to the monitor when it’s not a “clear and obvious” error 🤔

not a penalty and id have had no issues if he had been booked for diving, lets hope we apply the same thought to everyone in the same situ though going forward

would love to see the reaction if Arteta had given the interview Ten Haag did lol

Things not all well within the club

After all the money spent there seems to be a lack of quality and depth.
This is the thing I don't understand about Utd. Ten Hag has been there a while and spent a lot of money and the football on display is best described as turgid. Brighton, Brentford and even Spurs are playing far more attractive football on a far lower budget, and Postecoglu has only been at Spurs five minutes.

Interesting reply from Sancho on twitter implying hes being made a scapegoat

Just seen the interview- pretty embarrassing tbh, the offside was pretty clear cut and can’t recall any fouls in the lead up to Rice goal

Gabriel and (edited, apologies it was Evans) were grappling on the edge of the 6 yard box.

Looks like the pushy pulley ended with Gabriel going down but there was little to nothing in it other then the normal six and two threes in the box that goes on pretty much every game.

Surprised Ten Haag didn’t want a free kick for Jesus putting Dalot on his arse for the third. Definite booking taking the piss like that…

Ten Hag whingeing and Man Yoo fans crying all over Twitter that Gazpacho’s goal wasn’t offside, despite indisputable, irrefutable technology showing that it was.

They literally have no shame do they? I don’t remember any of them saying anything last season when Sam Surridge’s equaliser against them at the City Ground was disallowed because half of his patella was ahead of the tip of the last Yanited defender’s elbow when the pass was played.

Not the result we wanted from yesterday although it's probably the one I expected before kick off. A strange thing to say possibly however (ignoring the result) the performance was actually better than the wins we got against Wolves and Forest. Amrabat coming in will make a huge difference to our midfield and Hojland looks as though he'll finally give us a proper CF type player up front. Granted it's very early days and he's still inexperienced however I'd already play him and bin off Martial straight away based on that short cameo.

Yet, pretty much a carbon copy last weekend (with less contact), but with the shirts switched around, and United were given the penalty and no review. 🙃🙃🙃

If Carlsberg did football weekends, this weekend would have come close;

- Deadline day scenes, covering every single position of need (with real quality (on paper) too)
- Sell our academy graduate for £47.5m of pure profit to ensure we don't have any FFP issues in the foreseeable
- Beat Chelsea at the Bridge for the first time since 1995
- Derby lose 2-1 to Bolton thanks to an own goal from one of our academy graduates who we just sold to them, making his debut.
- United lose in injury time and complain about VAR going against them
- Top 10 going into the international break, with 0 GD and 6 points the board already (took 11 games to get 6 points last season and our goal difference by that point was -15)

Lovely job.

Great weekend to be a Forest fan wasn't it?! That transfer deadline day was wild, I was glued to the TV!

I think when we looked at the fixture list and saw that for our first six games we had four of them away against Big Six teams and two at home to Blades and Burnley, we’d have accepted and been glad of six points total. Yet we’ve got that after four games with three of them coming from an away win!

It will be very Forest if we now balls it up at home against Burnley, of course! 🙄🤣

Would not surprise me in the least. The most Forest of Forest things to do. Hope not though, it's a 5 hour round trip for me to the city ground and I'm going to be there

I still can't believe we managed to persuade Sangaré to leave Champions League Football at PSV. He could be a real game changer.

Yep very excited about him, hope he lives up to the hype! Seemed very popular at PSV from what I’ve seen.

Enjoy the Burnley game!

Disturbing news coming out about Roy Keane being head butted at the weekend with Micah Richard’s stepping in to calm things down.

Agree. I saw the fixture list and in the first 6 games thought there were x4 thumpings and x2 banana skins. So far so good and even the defeats had some encouraging signs. Best bit about the win on Saturday was that on Sunday I spent 4hrs on the golf course with my mate who's a Chelsea fan.

Hmmmm. Since his arrival just two years ago, Jadon Sancho has failed, spectacularly I might add, to perform at any level for two managers, three of you include Rangnick.

Given the fact Solskjaer and Ten Hag are poles apart in how they approach matters relating to player discipline, I would say the constant is the player, not the club.

It’s quite clear to most observers that he is a man with real issues, on and off the pitch.

This is worth a watch.
Can also listen to it on Spotify or Apple Podcasts.

It does contain a few F bombs.

I think he is a very good player , can certainly perform and has shown that , Man Utd spent a long time chasing him and then when he arrived played him on on the right when he played a lot better on the left. But it’s also a team thats constantly changing and it’s hard to see a settled line up during his first two seasons

I think it’s just the wrong fit all round and I’m surprised he didn’t leave in the summer maybe back to Germany to regain his form and confidence

I said at the time the Ronaldo signing really did for Sancho. I thought then that Greenwood was the long term plan through the middle, with Rashford and Sancho on the flanks. The Ronaldo signing shunted Greenwood out to the right, and as a consequence Sancho was immediately struggling for game time.

Ronaldo was never wanted by Solskjaer. If he was, the long pursuit of Sancho simply didn’t make sense.
