90% of people playing the game have him in their team and I think 75% captained him at the weekend
I've been playing Fantasy league long enough to remember that this is what it was like during Thierry Henry's time. If you didn't have him you were playing for mid-table at best in whatever league you were in. Just an automatic pick.

I’m part of the idiot club!

if Salah‘a goal had counted yesterday then it would have been worth it. Fine margins.
at 14m I’m willing to wait a couple of weeks before popping him back in.

I think Haaland is a little different to Henry, Ronaldo, Gerard bias (in game) in that Pep still rotates somhis points per game are men’s, but he won’t play all 38 games.

Although that is true for a lot of City players, Haaland played in 35 games for City in the league last season. So, I think it is likely that Haaland will play just as many games, if not more, than most other strikers in the league (unless he gets injured)

This was why I didn't put Haaland in at the start last season. I thought Pep would rotate the team. After a month and me sitting 100-odd points behind the leaders I changed my mind and got him in.

Do you see it as a panic buy then? For a 19yr old, who is hardly proven. Surely there were other options?

Depends on what the other options tbh

Being honest I’m not sure what are the other options

There is the guy at PSV - Sangre , Anguissa at Napoli

Wouldn’t mind testing city for Phillips as think he is a good player

Lingard training with us .. short term contract not ruled out

Wouldn't personally mind if he stayed. Given how short we are going forward

However jesus h .. Moyes is like a guy who's been dumped but keeps going back ..

JWP finally unavailed.
Hopefully a Freudian finger slip! Presumbly 'unveiled' would be what you really meant. Seems a good signing for the conservative Moyes. I think it's strikers that are really required though. I've never been a fan of '1 up front' tactic, however managed.

Almost every club plays it tho, in one form or another

He’ll be signing Feillani next to get on the end of the JWP set pieces.

He only scored 33 points more than Salah……100 points deficit might be more about the rest of your team 😬

I’m willing to hold steady a little longer.

subbed off early quite a bit though. Albeit he will have likely scored beforehand.

I am pretty sure I’ll relent and put him in, but cant all have, Onana, estupinan, stones ,Saliba, Saka, mitoma, mbuemo, rashford, odegaard, haaland and Pedro lol

1. They don't play the same position in FPL.
2. If he's captain that's 66 points for each team.
3. We're talking about the start of last season, when he scored consecutive hat-tricks in game 4 and 5. After the first month there was easily 100 points difference between the teams that had Haaland and those that didn't. Probably more than 100, I think I've undersold it if anything.

Surely there’s better options than Jessie Lingard?
Can’t think of a player that’s robbed a living more than him.

1, their role is to score points as far as FPL concerned, if you’ve got north then fair, but I don’t think the 3.5m worth it.
2, yes, if captained all season, I can do the math, but I reckon Saka as an example will score 40 points more than any 5m midfielder, so negates that.
3, granted, last year he did get off to a flyer, I’m hoping not the same this time, but even if he does, if people stick to him all year then I think it’ll be similar points wise for the big players and think it’s worth a punt hoping an extra mid level player makes up the ground.

The only proper concern I have dropping him, is there aren’t many stand out strikers and I have to play one. Hoping KDB’s injury means alvarez gets the minutes.

Or you could argue that 30 seconds mandatory hold on that player returning to the field is to help them recover.
It might stop the feigning of injury that goes on in every game from all teams and more importantly the feigning of a head injury to just stop the game.
Something has to be done, so let’s give the FA some credit for trying to act on what every fan complains about.
Maybe if it’s a yellow card offence make them stand next to the injured player until he’s ready to resume.

as long as teams don’t abuse it .

maybe the rugby way ,just let the phisio on and only stop play if they interfere with the play until the ball goes out.
any one taking the mick will be playing a man down.
genuine injury will get treatment earlier.
