Yep it annoys the hell out of me, if Sheik whoever buys Man Utd they will be spending the money, any team that gets sold to a Sheik, Pif or investement from those regions there supporters are going to want them to spend money.

I think the one thing no one has ever managed to answer is, if a team is not one of the big boys how do they ever get to compete at the top of the table given the historical advantages they have. Chelsea only competed by spending Oligarch money that was pooply obtained, City the same, next Newcastle but without the invvestment they would be where they used to be. If we could come up with a way to help make other teams more competitive outside of money lets hear it, I mean we all know having money is no Guarantee of success, look at Everton but without it you are getting in the top 4 are you.

So true. The teams that are close to the top season after season or at least push for it are arsenal and Liverpool, both big players of the past with huge fanbases abroad able to tap into those funds and more attractive to buy.

If a team doesn't get some sort of investment now they don't overly compete in anything. You get rare exceptions but just is the sad state of football ATM

My team our owners are rich in terms of the normal person but compared to the big clubs? They are like comparing prime Messi to Scott Parker. Leagues apart.

We have a new investor Daniel Kretinsky .. owns a pipe line for gas .. well that's how he makes his money .. Russians are involved I believe .. so that money isn't clean

What money actually is anymore?

City have clearly been the best team in Europe this season so I'm pleased they won. I want the winners to be the best, not the team who had a nice draw etc.

For those who want to put an asterisk next to the title, head, your, wobble, a, give. Feel free to rearrange 🙄. Bitterness is very unattractive and no one in the outside world is doing the same.

Why do you keep posting this nonsense about “bitterness” and “spending is spending” and ignoring what people have an issue with and why people including many in football have a big question mark over Citys trophies since they became state owned

But I’ll say it again - many clubs have spent money , but it’s money spent within the financial rules set up and crucially voted by the clubs , yes Chelsea spent a lot to help them win but did it within the rules at the time , the clubs made a choice to bring in rules

Now since City got taken over they have been charged by UEFA and through delay tactics got away with huge fines and by using big lawyers managed to find loopholes within UEFA process - they never once proved they were innocent of the UEFA Charges

Now they have also been charged by the Premier League -115 of them to be exact , financial charges for breaking rules the clubs voted in - and right now City once again are trying to delay the process , accusations of “bias”

It’s a simple question to anyone - if they were in anyway innocent then just allow the process to complete and prove their innocence but they don’t appear to be doing that

So whilst City have wonderful players and great manager and play very good football , they are also now going to be dominate even more so going forward , we now have a situation where it will be City winning year in year out - people complained about big clubs dominating the league - well we now have one , and it’s a situation that’s been created because they have imo cheated to provide the foundation. So every trophy they win will imo have the same stain and same question mark next to it

It’s got nothing to do with being “bitter” , if Man Utd had won I wouldn’t be bitter , would be gutted because they are a rival etc but not “bitter”

Well you certainly come over as bitter. Deny as much as you like. It was less than 12 hours ago, 10.29 last night to be exact when you basically said the same in much fewer words.

I know you will deny because you, in your opinion, are always correct

Not exactly sure which point I made you are looking to debate against ? Or is it just the poster ?

True, it’s hard to make a case that Sullivan and Golds money is “Clean”, both Pornographers who made their money exploiting vulnerable women. Sullivan was once imprisoned for living off of immoral earnings!… and after his girlfriend at the time Mary Millington committed suicide he still continued to cash in on her name, releasing films with her name in the title. Bloke is a real lowlife.

Funny how they were/are a despicable pair, but such is the low bar of humans that own Football Clubs they are not even brought into the conversation!

Actually it’s rammel. The sentence “ it was voted for by club owners “. There in lies the problem. They don’t want City, Newcastle, or any other Club apart from the established elite at the top table.
They set up rules to protect themselves.
That said.
Today is a very happy Tash. And Ave cleaned me crocs.

Before and after pics were required, I think.

Why can’t you both support Man City, the team that existed before the current owners, and also confront the awful regime that is currently in charge? You can do both.

He's been a revelation as a holding midfielder for City, very impressed watching him last night. Now if only one Gareth Southgate could do something similar with him 🤔

I don’t think it’s the one area England are struggling though - Rice and Bellingham are two of the best around for the middle

But Southgate could employ a mix of what City and Liverpool do with Stones and TAA

GK

Then a back four of

TAA - Stones - Dunk - Shaw

With

Rice - Bellingham and someone like Mount in a three or Phillips

Then

Saka - Kane - Grealish

You would then have Stones with the ability to move and sit in , TAA with the ability to move in and create ( would take a bit work to ensure it’s covered ) then the likes to Rice, Phillips to cover when players are floating

Brave tactics that someone like Klopp or Pep would look to employ

So zero chance Southgate will
