he is safe until end of season , unless rodgers or potter are ready for new appointments but no point until we are safe

tonight it wouldnt surprise me to lose then win saturday

plenty of points to play for

really dont think tonight will be the reason he goes

I hope the board decide enough is enough

Hate seeing managers sacked but at least before we didn't just roll over

The only positive for West Ham, the players are giving it everything. No one is hiding. That means something at this stage of the season. Just a very bad night at the back.

If they go down, can we have Bowen?

Highest bidder, think he will go spurs tbh

Done with Moyes now, I been firmly in but to change 4 players but keep the same system?

The point of a spare striker is you can actually go 2 up top to try at the end ..

Must have been a mistake but sure I’ve just read on the BBC website…Lampard as interim Chelsea manager 😱
It's actually happened... I can't believe it. What in the holy hell are they doing over there? Baffling. At least every time I think about how poor this season has been for Spurs, I can look over at Chelsea and make myself feel better.

Totally agree,. They're doing their best to make Spurs look like a well run club. It wont last though.

The running of Tottenham for years has been ridiculous and embarrassing.
The number of managers replaced over such a short period creates no consistency. To me the board just seem to plod along with no long term planning. I get the impression they just turn up day in day out twiddling their thumbs and being reactive rather than proactive.
Arsenal on the other hand are a club run properly with the only short serving manager being Bruce Rioch, who ironically signed Dennis Bergkamp. Despite Arteta coming under fire they stuck with him and look how things are turning out.
The Arsenal business model is what we should base ourselves on

Would you fancy Potter? I think he would do a great job, if allowed to run the football side of things. That was clearly not the case at Chelsea, but was in his previous jobs. That would fit with your model, imo

He was the manager when Bergkamp signed, not sure he had much to do with it though

Came across a story in a Swedish paper about Glenn Strömberg. Probably not that well known here in the UK, but one of Sweden's best in the 80's and early 90's.

Well, even if you haven't heard about him, I'm sure you will have heard about the other Swede in the story. It did make me chuckle a bit.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Glenn Strömberg was head hunted by Sven-Göran Eriksson to sign for Benfica in 1982, and he will never forget his first session with the team.

As Glenn was practising free kicks, an assistant coach kitted out in a tracksuit came up, took one of the balls and sent a screamer into the top corner in front of a surprised Swede.

-“At first I had been stumbling around on a wet pitch in borrowed boots that were too small. And now this. So, I hit another free kick towards the other corner, but it snuck just outside the post. It was a very good free kick actually”.

The assistant coach got another ball and took aim.

-“The old man stepped up, and again he put it in the other top corner, the one that I just missed, and I was thinking what the hell? I was completely devastated”.

At that point, “Svennis” shouted in their direction.

-“Strömberg! Eusebio! Over here, now!

Yes, I would fancy Potter with the proviso that his scouting team who he had at Brighton joined too.
Our last sporting director recruited some crap 💩 , so just as well he’s banned.
Sadly don’t think we should go for Pochettino, as it rarely works out second time around.
