Depends on the make. What is the service interval on an EV? Surely that's the data capture opportunity.

If you have an MOT done anywhere the person who does it must be an authorised MOTer. It may just happen that the local mechanic is such a person. Pretty sure somewhere on the building there is a sign stating that they are an MOT stationI have never been to a MOT station. Ford is doing them on service. Same for my bike where the local mechanic does it.
So when I buy my Enyak or Explorer or EQC (building myself a shopping list) next year I would hope that the people selling it to me do it as well.
Quite lot of smaller local garages don't do MOTs themselves but drive your car to a local MOT centre as part of the service. I don't know if they still exist, but a couple near us used to use a local authority place that did the public service fleet and charged the minimum MOT rate for private customers to ensure that they were always busy.If you have an MOT done anywhere the person who does it must be an authorised MOTer. I no longer have any old MOTs to check but I am pretty sure the individual MOTer's Authorisation number has to appear on the certificate.
I don’t see it being applied to ICE vehicles, as they only have 5 more years of sales left so therefore demand will slowly diminish and also let’s be honest, they collect more via the pumps anyway.
What is the reasoning behind it?Oh no....Im thinking about changing to the dark side....for the van ....
VW Transporter T6 seems to cost me £1k everytime it goes into VW.What is the reasoning behind it?
I don't suppose you can rent one for a week to see how it might work for you? As @larmen describes, how effective will the range be when fully loaded?VW Transporter T6 seems to cost me £1k everytime it goes into VW.
New Kia PV5 is looking very cheap to buy, and in the 3 or 4 yrs time when I want to retire it would still be sellable for a reasonable amount.
The snag is the T6 is a lovely drive, and fully loaded.....fully.
I've been reading lots of reviews. The higher output one says 284 miles range, and all the reviews say it's about correct ( and thats loaded).I don't suppose you can rent one for a week to see how it might work for you? As @larmen describes, how effective will the range be when fully loaded?
Yes, £2.60 per hr less.......That's a good loaded range imo, assuming it's accurate but it sounds as though it is. You wouldn't do more than that in a day, I'm assuming.
Ouch, those parking prices are painful. Do I take it you pay less to park an EV?
