Thank You GM & Yonex

What you are saying is pretty much correct but the OP does say that he gained 12.5 yards so I'm afraid that kinda blows your theory out in this instance.

Ok I was just trying to help and was replying to this 'You better recheck your numbers, you can't gain 9mph club speed but only 5mph ball speed'.

Hopefully I can help clarify a few bits as I was there yesterday.

Andy's ball speed went up 5mph, but the main benefit for him was shot-to-shot he went from a 70-80mph range with his irons to a 80-81mph range. It's always hard to tell whether that was just him becoming more relaxed and warmed up, or the club, but you can only look at the data and say what it says, and in this case you could see the distance consistency improved loads.

As mentioned, the XPG 7-iron is 29.5 (for comparison the M2 7-iron is 28.5 and 716 AP1 7-iron 31), but all the guys were hitting it higher on Flightscope than their weaker lofted 7-irons, which only backs up Yonex's reasoning that the stronger lofts are there to keep the launches in the most penetrating window possible when combined with the forgiving heads and graphite shafts.

couldnt have put it better myself Jake.
my original seven iron was hitting a fair bit lower in height than the Yonex ,and it didnt fly as far by a fair few yards . the Yonex felt nicely balanced in the hands and was very easy on the eye .so that helped instill some confidence before you even addressed a ball.
even if the lofts are slightly Jacked ,i dont really mind as the clubs are going to look good in my bag and i will be enjoying playing with them .
