Texas Scramble

Yes, but was that 27 under of 0 handicap or level par with an handicap allowance of 27 , completely different scenarios
Handicap allowances on scrambles now (at least 4 man team ones) are completely garbage. So yeah, nett 27 under par is possible for a team with high handicaps, but a virtual impossibility for a team playing off scratch.

However, even in this example, the nett score is ridiculous, even for high handicappers. Not sure I've seen a team have a handicap even close to 27, even with 2 or 3 20+ and 30+ handicappers. Four 40 handicappers would be off 28.

And there is no way they would get round in level par.

When posting winning scores in Scrambles, It would be more useful to post the actual gross score and even better the handicaps of the players, as the points scored don't mean much, 43 points might be they shot 27 under or level par with a 27 handicap ?
Posted in the comments on fb, apparently by one of the winning team: "...par 70... Handicaps were 9, 11, 18 and 23... had 13 shots... 12 birdies, 1 eagle and 5 pars..."

I’ve played it twice as a guest in the last 3 weeks and cleaned up on both occasions 😂😂
It’s not a difficult course in my opinion, but not as easy as that score would suggest.
Always a lottery playing in these events.

No team should be getting 13 shots in a Texas scramble

With the HC allowances they made up any team with one or more players with a HC of 4 and below had very little chance of competing because of the way they work out the allowances
