4 man texas scramble - one card returned was not signed -= team dq`d - question is why dq`d and what is the reasoning behind such.

You have to sign your card, penalty for not signing = DQ'd

My initial reaction but - the only person/people signing it to say it IS correct, are the players themselves - no opponents sign it !
Needs to be signed by player and marker. Not sure of the rule but 6.6 springs to mind.

most cards say markers signature.
We were always told even team games marker and one player must sign the card.

You don't normally have any opponents in a Texas scramble. They are not played as matchplay. Nor would you have any Fellow Competitors as all the players in the group are in your team.
But of course Texas (or any other) scrambles don't have any written rules unless the organising committee write some.
