I use 3 pink castle tees in a tripod formation then balance the ball in the middle. That way I get equal support from all angles and consistent friction.

Only takes a couple of minutes to get it all sorted. I don't think my playing partners mind.

I use the callaway adjustable tees. They are excellent - you can adjust the tee to produce a fade or a draw.
Only trouble is that the adjusting wrench is really tiny so I've already had to buy several replacement wrenches.

Are you allowed to adjust them during a round? Surely they should be like adjustable clubs that can't be adjusted during a stipulated round.
Incidentally have you tried the old trick with the golf ball? If you tee it up one way it will draw and if you tee it up the other way it will fade thus saving the need to alter the tee.

No and I think it's really holding me back. Everything else in my bag is CF except the tee. Do you think I should go to a specific manufacturer or a general one where I can try different makes?

I've found that if |I use one of those three prong tees, as long as I have two prongs at the back of the ball, I can point the front prong in the direction I want the ball to go, left fade, right draw, middle dead straight.

Also, if it's windy I'll lean the tee forward to promote top spin and keep the ball low and when on short par 3's if I lean it back it helps with backspin to get the ball to stop faster.

You really need to get your teeing looked at using TeeScope(R) or another ball teeing monitor.

That way you can see the numbers in terms of teeing angle and the speed and pressure you put the tee in. Without that you don't have a chance of getting fitted with exactly the right tee for your game.

Seriously hope no one new to the game is reading this. Imagine them on the 1st setting 3 tees up in a tripod formation

This is very true,I got fitted at a well known golf store & tbh I think I was just sold the tees with the biggest mark up rather than the tee that suited me.

Where the teescope system been trawling google for half an hour now and can't find a local fitter, may just have to be white TM jobby best for alignment and yards longer..... Oh no maybe black is best now......

The problem I have is that I don't like the ones with big heads so I think my choice is limited. What about the flex, I have a SS of 96mph? Does tee flex make much difference?

You'd probably be better off booking some lessons with a good pro before buying new tees.

I use Stack and Tiltâ„¢ tees which cost me a fortune, was no one local to me to show me how to use them and weighted weirdly so my ball fell off them every time.
