Ive heard the forum average tee height is 6 inches? Surely these forumers should be on tour with those kinds of numbers?
On a similar note I have noticed that how you mark your ball also has an impact on the flight. If you use a Sharpie to draw a line on your ball it adds weight to that side. If you then tee up with the line on top pointing down the fairway it promotes a lower ball flight with top spin. Putting the line on side promotes a draw or a fade. That's why to maintain the aerodynamic properties of the ball you should always mark it evenly on all all sides. Why isn't this basic stuff covered in the first lesson you have with a pro?
Do ORKA make tees?
I have some TM Rocketteez that have a speed slot in them down one side of the tee, and I have noticed a difference, up to 5 yards more distance at times. I also have some Nike Cavity tees in which they have taken a chunk out one side, and they add a few yards on as well. Only problem is the ball falls off them quite a lot due to the fact half the top of them is missing.
The doubters always say that all TM have done with the TM Rocketteez is reduced the angle on which the ball sits and made the tee a bit longer. But I don't agree, I say try it before you criticise them.
And gryffindor, could you let me know who supplies you with left handed tees? I am a lefty and the TM and Nike tees only come in right handed, so I think a tee designed for a lefty would be great.
You have far too much time on your hands Scott
This thread has turned out way better than I anticipated![]()
Would a left handed tee cure my slice? Happy to get fitted for one.
Do they use Trackman to see how far the tee flies or Sonar if the tees get into the ground?
Has anyone else had one?
