I played a shot from a tarmac path when i had to get up and down for a point! clubs are there get scars from the course. didnt get up and down, so i got a scratched vokey and a blob. hey ho, thats life!

Yep, why did you put it in there in the first place 
. Could have been worse if there had been flint in the bunker base, that stuff causes real damage

When I get home tonight, I'll take a picture of the leading edge/sole of my MP63 pitching wedge.
That has lumps missing, not 'general play' scratches you'd expect to find on a wedge!

This is what happens to a forged clubs I'm afraid. Mine happened when I introduced my PW to a stone the size of a babies head chipping out of a plugged lie in a green side bunker.
It happens.

My point, which was poorly made, is that clubs through normal play will get dinks.
I've had cast wedges before now that have taken a similar beating.

Theres a lot of courses where you have to play off gravel paths/ roads or take a penalty drop , 17th at St Andrews for instance.

Don't see the issue. If you don't' want to play out of bunkers don't go in them. If you do you have several options open to you. Get over it. You played it and the club got a mark. Boo hoo. It happens.

Crikey Martin ,i dont wana play outa bunkers , outa the clag , go outa bounds or into the water .. still happens tho , always disgusted when the new clubs get a mark at first , after a while it just adds character ..
Not that id be looking for a new club but id defo be miffed if the bunkers were that bad , in all fairness a bunker that bad doesnt deserve to be in play

A bunker is a hazard - its the result of a poor shot or poor management - if you go into a bunker then take your punishment and get on with instead of complaining
Yes pathetic!!! We are amateur golfers for Christ sake and bad shots or poor management are parts of the game for us!!! You think a pro wouldn't have something to say it he landed in that? A rules official would be called in straight away!!!

I kinda agree and kinda don't. On Friday I got a nick in the leading edge or my new Wilson 58* from a stone in a bunker that was under the sand, I couldn't see it until it was too late.
But, in marks position even with my wedges if I had been in that bunker I would have explored other options:
A) to protect my bats
B) to protect my score
If the bunkers at my course were that bad I'd move!

yes understand that but surely you can post that without throwing insults at other posters !
yes question the poor bunkers - no they wont pay for another wedge and Pros wouldnt play on courses with bunkers like that.
