Dry today at West Byfleet. Must admit it was nice when the sun went in, and it cooled down slightly.

Bit peeved that I carried a full set of waterproofs and a brolley based on the forecast of torrential rain today.

Hosed it down for most of the day here. Needed it but lots more forecast is not good news. Cant see me playing for a few days now

Forecast was for showers today but not a drop. I don't mind. Greens are still watered and are receptive so you just need to think about where you want to put the tee shot and how you want to play the approach (high, low, short or high) rather than just playing target golf

You missed out Homer, we had a torrential downpour this morning at about 7, it lasted about 30 seconds. There was another one at 10 apparently that lasted 10 minutes

That's not the weather's fault, it's your greens staffs'

Our course is bone dry but the greens are still receptive to a properly struck shot.

I am just down the road from you and haven't found a course that isnt 'dead'. Never played at Ascot, looks a hard course.

The fairways are burnt out as we have no fairway watering (not that that would help), the greens and tees are fine though. Greens are firm but receptive
