My apologies as I normally do not blow my own trumpet, but on this occasion I just have to!

I played in the President's Day Cup at my club today which is one of the major board comps and managed to walk off with the silverware :D

Getting the trophy from the club President:

Nice One Anthony

Couldnt happen to a nicer chap

BTW You look slightly slimmer than Darren Clarke in the photo
or is it just the camera angle :D :D

Fragger

It was a steady round, nothing spectacular. 38 points and won on countback over the last 6, gross score was 78 so a handicap cut from 9.2 to 8.6 - no change in playing handicap which pleased my foursomes and 4BBB partners.

I think the secret to my success was actually the GM sweater, headcover and towel that I used yeaterday :)

I found out some more about the actual trophy. It was bought when the Japanese owned the club. The president wanted a trophy that was bigger and cost more than any other trophy in the cabinets.

Fragger, do not believe Smiffy - I am slimmer than Darren :)
