Ever had anything stolen from the locker room? Couldn't believe it yesterday, went in to change and some oik had nicked my shoe bag. It wasn't branded or new and only had a spare pair of socks and a few studs inside. How odd!

Had a pair of FJ LoPro's stolen out the locker room last year, had only worn them about 3 times.

Not stolen, but had left my cart bag outside the locker room, when I came out there was a gent pulling my clubs out and inspecting them, when I approached he turned, popped a club back in and walked off. Speechless.

My dad had a ping g15 rescue stolen from outside the pro shop at 7am one morning and only around 15 people there

Two Vokey wedges stolen from the bag rack inside the door at Erskine Golf Club a few years back.

Some cheeky scallwag obviously saw them as they left and swiped the pair!

I didn't even notice till two days later when I was heading back out to play again, I was fuming. At the time £160 worth of wedges gone!

I get really paranoid about people stealing things from me so I'm quite vigilant and never leave my clubs out of sight or if they are then they're with a friend. We had a couple of blokes turn up at our club around this time last year, walked into the Pro's office, took his car keys out of his drawer, stole his Blackberry and then went out to his car and stole £300 out of his glove box. Broad daylight as well, no one saw anything apparently and it was the only time he had ever not locked his drawer when going out on a lesson.

Sounds like prior knowledge there. If I leave my clubs unattended it is tucked away near the main office with CCTV watching.

That's what we all thought when it happened, it would have been a MASSIVE coincidence that someone just happened to go into his office and open his drawer on the one day he didn't lock it and to also know that he had money in his car, although I guess stranger things have happened. He was more concerned about all the mobile numbers he lost on his Blackberry than the money though. Someone saw a couple of "rough" looking blokes hanging around at one point but didn't think anything of it as our greenkeepers have a habit of looking worse than rough at times.

Had the lot stolen from my locker many years ago. They broke into the club house overnight and wrecked the whole locker room smashing all the wooden lockers up and finally getting away with 40+ sets of clubs plus all the other bits.

Lost my bag and clubs a few spare clubs, 2 pair of shoes, waterproofs, few dozen balls, total nightmare though thankfully the insurance paid out most of it

Becoming more of a problem as there is now a ready market to sell on the clubs with the likes eBay, etc.

I'm amazed at how many people in my club I seeing leaving their clubs unattended for long periods of time around the clubhouse

no, because i have never been a fan of locker rooms (unless you can fit your clubs in aswell) because all it takes is one dooshbag (trademark) to take the lot

Had my shoebag taken once. It wasn't actually stolen per se but someone had picked it up by mistake and returned it the next day. Perhaps a similar occurence? I've got my clubs insured from theft from my locker or the locker room

How bloody awfull scum stealing off fellow golfers, what sort of honesty do these people have on course....It always amazes me that people leave all their gear outside the clubhouse completely out of view of anybody and go for a drink and wonder why there stuffs getting nicked, for me it goes in the boot and then I go to the clubhouse, there simply isnt the honesty nowdays at golf clubs to leave expensive gear unattended.Things have changed a lot in recent years around the great game, and for me its the scumbag oiks who are taking up the game that shouldnt that are the problem.

Funnily enough.......

I had my tour sticks nabbed last Thursday at the course.

Working on my pitching, went to the club house to sign up for a charity comp later this month come back and they're gone!!

On a brighter note It gave me an excuse to order a V-Easy

Lo and behold the shoebag returned a week later!
