Hi All

Most mornings after I have been the range to hit a couple of hundred balls one of my hands really aches for about 30 m inutes after I wake up.

Does anyone think this may be due to my grip size or is it just im playing too much :)

Lol

Ask your boyfriend where he was last night ;) hehe

Nah, honsetly I hit all clubs at the range and in the morning my hand does ache, but only for a while.
Maybe im just over doing it.

Im gonna try and a jumbo grip with 5 layers of tape or somet just to see if I can get my fingers less coiled around the club :)

I wouldn't go to a jumbo grip or add tape as this can restrict the movement of the hands through the swing. Is it just one hand or both? you may have a trapped nerve or similar.

Hi

All my clubs currently have Jumbo + 2 layers of tape already.

There is a company in America that do jumbo jumbo grips which I was gonna get one of and see if they are better.

The trouble is I have 9" long hands and its dificult to get a firm but loose grip without my fingers overlapping into my palm :(

Its more in one hand but the other hand is slightly achey.

Ill ask my pro as I also think my glove is way too small and restricting my grip, so im playing without a glove on a lot of shots.

So, in the mornings you hit a couple of hundred balls and then wake up with an aching hand. Some dream that

If you are doing a lot of iron practice off the mats then it's not surprising.

I've been wondering if I need fatter grips, my hands also measure 9 inches and the multi-compound red and black grips on my new irons seem a bit skinny to me. I also had slightly achey hands after coming back from the range yesterday. I'll be gutted if I have to change the grips they're all new and lovely :(

All stems from the striking action on to the hard (almost concrete) mat with no give, compared to the soft give of turf. Either cut down the number of balls you're hitting or change practise to grass area.

Cool, ill get out on the grass more :)

EaseNGrace, do you have Jumbo grips?
I sed to use standard grips on my old clubs but looking back they were way too small :(

Im thinking of building up one of my clubs using some tennis grip so ill let you know how it goes.
