A bad captains choice?

I'd have gone with Fowler not a 43 year old. Better player and one for the future. I feel SS was only picked to keep Tiger happy. Bad decision.

Not sure about that, he has been a rock for Team USA in the past and has caused Team Europe some pain, Tiger to me was the weakest link a bit like Lee was for Team Europe, although Lee came good at the end.

SS wasn't at the races all weekend. Looks as if he's on the slippery slope. Really like the guy but his once amazing putting skill looks to be deserting him now!
 
Stricker has learned how to create a simple repeatable golf swing that stands up under pressure. If only he would have learned it 10 years ago he would have been world number one.

One swallow doesn't make a summer, even at 43 Stricker will be back winning again but maybe not good enough for another Ryder Cup
 
Stricker had a problem - he was partnering Tiger. Can't blame Stricker for that.

I happen to think that neither of them are suited to play together, it's just that they happen to get on well together which is the WRONG reason to put them together. Even Tiger would have a better record if he partnered different players I reckon.

Stricker took his game to the wire against Kaymer and forced him to have to make his 8ft putt. He's hardly rubbish.

Paul McGinley .. coulple of vice captaincys , respect of the players , better choice than Darren in my opinion...

As for Stricker god help him having to partner Tiger the way he was playing.. the losses wil be on his RC record , bit like Westwoods record showing a point in the fourballs when he played dirt.. Stats eh ?

And BTW what the feck is wrong with being 43? It's not exactly time for euthanasic intervention.

I think maybe Jim Furyk could have had his last Ryder Cup too - he did well but looking at people like Fowler coming through the ranks now, in 2 years time it'll be their time and I guess Stricker and Furyk will be out...
 
Stricker and Furyk are done now in RC I reckon.

Guys like Fowler, Watney, Mahan and Hass are waiting in the wings ready to step up to the plate. All winners and consitant performers on the PGA tour.
