I thought Nick Dougherty was very good at the Ryder Cup.

I like Boxall and Roe. Riley is great on the course. I also thought Howell was good when he did a bit of commentatry

Wayne Grady and Ian Baker-Finch are pretty good too, if a little patriotic at times.

But back to the topic, I agree that Hendry is great. 'Exciting' Steve Davis gets a bit too intense for me.

I'm not keen on Hendry commentating tbh.

I prefer Davis and think Virgo is pretty good too.

As for the golf, I quite like Monty. Not afraid to say what he actually thinks, I like that.

monty is excellent and interesting.

Hendry is boring and monotone..........plus I've watched him play golf

I never warmed to Hendry as a player, but as a commentator I think he's brilliant.

I'd also prefer listening to Neal Foulds than Virgo, Taylor, Thorne et al.

Ken Brown, Wayne Riley, Sam "Take your medicine" Torrance, if for nothing else providing my most quoted phrase on a golf course. Golfers are generally intelligent people and so make good commentators/analysers. The Radio 5 team is pretty good as well but I lose track of who they are now.
