Ah forum is a great spot . I read more than contribute now (can hear the sighs of relief ) just ignore the stuff u dont like or agree with . Give what u can take what u need . Respect even the ones u disagree with . No.point stressing over someone elses posts . Ur stressing no one else cares or even notices .. 😃 if a tree falls in the forrest when no one is around does it evem make a noise.. 😂

TBH i come on here to disguss Golf, not ague about football, Polictics... (though the right wing nature of some threads i have to chime in now an again) or play in meets TBH, though i do go to the odd one.

But at the end of the day its a golf forum to discuss Golf

Just use the ignore function, the forum is a much nicer place without some contributors bile.

Totally agree. Seems weird when people get so worked up about certain peoples posts. Just put them on ignore, simples.

I tried that but it distorts a thread as conversations take place, replies are made and it makes no sense. It's a shame as the theory behind the function is good but it just does not work for me.

I tend to do what robinthehood suggests and skim over posts from certain people, only reading them if you need to understand what is going on on a thread. I use my own filter in effect, ignoring those who have a largely negative effect on here. I'm only on here for fun and as Jeff Stelling keeps reminding me, 'When the fun stops, stop'

I'll give you a heads up for most threads, especially the OOB ones. It's the same people making the same points over and over again. They're not exactly an Ian Rankin novel where you need to keep up with the latest plot twists.

I think the weather this year has given us more time for arguing on here.

Really it was a genuine question.
Most men don’t know what to say in case we do offend somebody these days especially women.

It was a fun throway comment that really meant nothing and doesn't need debating and building up into something it really isn't. Hence my point as threads turn from lighthearted and fun to a serious debate and argument in a heartbeat.

This forum is like any golf clubhouse. Lots of people happy to detail their experiences, offer advice when asked and with differing opinions on everything.
Every club has a couple of really self-important know-it-alls, a couple of total assholes and someone who has to comment on everything whether his views are needed or not. Yep we've got them here too.
