Hi guys!

Bought a new trolley today, got it home, unwrapped it, set it up in 5 seconds flat, only to find out my stand bag doesn't really fit it too well, and moves about a bit!

When I say it doesn't fit too well and it moves a bit, I would say it would only fall off should we have a big gust of wind, or somebody purposely knocked it off!

Just so the bag fits better, I have attempted to take off the stand bag fixings, but I can't get them off! I have tried numerous allen keys, and other similar tools. The bag I have is a Nike Access Deluxe Stand Bag.

Can anybody help, or even suggest a trolley I could buy that will fit my bag better!

Thanks!

Could you not use the bungee cords, top and bottom, would hold it pretty securely. I know a few guys that use these if the trolley straps break

Did you tell them what bag you had? If you did then its not fit for purpose and a full refund is available.
If not and the error is yours, you can also take it back within 7 days of purchase for a credit note to get another trolley more suitable.
They don't have to give a cash refund as they have sold it in good faith but you have 7 days under the Sale of Goods Act.

most trolleys will accomadate most bags, its sounds like youve been unlucky but ultimately its a carry bag and not designed to fit a trolley brilliantly.

Not sure taking the stand off will help and may leave the bag useless on all fronts try turning it 90* so the part of the bag which is against your bag sits on the trooley and stand is out of the way?

Another issue you will likely come across is accessing pockets with the bag on the trolley

Stand bags don't fit onto trolly's except when you sit them sidewys on and use bungees. Just make sure the pockets on that side have stuff you're not going to need. Also this lash up makes the whole thing a bit unstable especially in wide, and you'll get sick of putting your clubs back into the bag after they've fallen over.

See my post above.

I've just bought a Sun Mountain 4.5 and it fits perfectly....

I think most of the Sun Mountain bags now have the Cart Friendly Base so that they fit on Trolleys. Also the 4.5 has an opening to feed the cart straps through and to help keep the bag straight. It's just a case of getting the right bag.

I guess if you really aren't happy with it, put bungee cords on and see how that goes or take it back and perhaps take the trolley in and try bags in the store. Mind you if you've hacked it about trying to get the legs off they might not accept it back

How exactly do the cart friendly base work? Does something click back into the bag so the stand bottom isn't sticking out or what?

Right guys, I must thank you all for your advice.

The stand bag feature has now been removed from my bag! Following some drilling and other odd tools being used, I have taken the stand feature off! In all honesty, with the amount of crap I carry on the course, I will probably only ever use a trolley from now on!

sounds like you have spoilt a decent stand bag !

I could of sold you my Mizuno stand bag, has a damaged leg !

It is a real pain finding stand bags that fit well on trolleys, its about time they all started taking this issue on board and changed the basic design like some others have started doing

As a product designer, this is something I should probably consider designing....
