Sports records that may never be broken?

Oh, how about gaining an England international football cap, Olympic gold and silver medals, Wimbledon Tennis Championship medal, Britain Davis Cup captain, a 147 in snooker, golf club course record (playing off scratch), scoring a century at Lords versus MCC, being a quadruple Cambridge Blue and taking time off to fight on the western front and in the Gallipoli Campaign.....................................................and that's just one bloke!
Now, that'll never be done again, not even close.

Slime.

Who is that?

Nicklaus and Woods tie the number of Majors played without missing a cut [34 I think].
I remember Nicklaus scoring something like 80,66 to manage that one year, RSG I think. The 80 was after learning that his son was in trouble with the polis, driving offence I think.

Speaking to Auntie recently we got talking family history and she reminded me my Grandad had attended the 'White Horse' Cup Final at Wembley 1923... Just googled it and officially there was 126,000 in attendance but its been estimated there were 300,000 there.... Family were living in Plaistow in them days and the West Ham goalkeeper was a near neighbour...

Going back to the MVG darts one. He actually had 19 perfect in a row, if you watch the 2 darts previous to his 9 darter actually hit the t19.

Scary thought 149k in there.I am sure I have read that a week later it is thought the attendance was 146k with 25k locked outside for Celtic v Aberdeen!!

Been in it with around 90k and it was crazy enough then.

Been in with 95,000, Scotland England 1974 - scary.

Man Utd have not lost a league game, when leading at half time, since Fergie has been their manager.
That's over 25 years..........over ¼ of a century............that's ridiculous.

Slime.
