Spill the beans then

Glenmuir sweater was my golfing lot this year, didn't need any thing golf related other than a new club membership!

Watching the kids open their stuff then helping them play with it ;) is what's it's all about really!

C'mon then spill the beans, what did you get for Christmas?
I got two new Mizuno mpt-10 wedges in black 52 & 56 degrees. They look superb, I'm sure they will play as good as they look.

Ditto, except I wends for the 58 so my wedges are 6* gapped. Like you I also went for the black ones. ;)

That's from the misses and a pal got me a Gm subscription,

Happy crimbo all, now off to massacre the turkey :D

Not wishing to be ungrateful but, my misses got me a Mizuno belt that might have fitted me 10 years ago. alas no longer and a jumper exactly the same as the one she got me two years ago. :D

1001 golf holes to play before you die. Seeing as i have only played 19 so far i had better hurry up. :D

Fortunately nothing else golf related, as i like to buy my own gear.

WHICH KIND FORUM MEMBER SENT ME A PRESENT??? MISSUS WOULDN'T LET ME UNWRAP IT UNTIL THIS MORNING, LOOKED INSIDE AND GUESS WHAT???.....................................A KNOB!

Total haul for me this year is : 2 mizzy mpt-10 wedges in black, 2 mizzy caps, skycaddie sg5, 2 sweaters, gucci sport gift pack, hugo boss bottled gift set, 1 bottle of grants and 2 pair of trousers. Great result.

Misses booked me an hour long lesson, videoed, and a 45 minute chipping lesson,my first ever proper lesson. Also got a nike belt, its a one size fits all, guess what it didnt fit had to make my own hole. Can someone explain one size fits all when obviously it doesnt.

Nowt golf related either, got my turbo (IHI VF24 for reference, will boost the Impreza from 230 to 320-340 bhp once fitted and mapped :D)
Smellies and bathroom gear, A massive Homer Simpson Mug, A flexible keyboard that folds/rolls up in the palm of your hand, clothes and few other odds and sods. Been up since 11.30 and the kids are still unwrapping feckin presents! I dont really mind but there are some that have a million parts that will end up scattered all round the house.
On the plus side the Zoe was really happy with her girlie swarovski crystal laiden netbook :)
Just had my chicken skewer starters, roll on the turkey!

All golf...yippee

Callaway HyperX driver from Mrs Mashie plus Tom Watson DVD, "To the Linksland" - one of my favourite golf books - and a USGA book on the players from the "Golden Age of Golf" 1910-1930.

Parents-in-Law's money was spent on a limited edition MacGregor VIP forged bladed putter. Just tried it out on the carpet. Got to hit the sweet spot with that baby. Should help improve my stroke.

Smellies, bathroom stuff, chocolate, and money to put towards golf days next year :)

Brendy, Imprezas have always confused me but I thought they were 300bhp as standard. Are there a lot of different models?

Draw boy, you sure your not Santa himself and you just held a few back for yourself ;)
Not as lucky as some Oddsocks, some guys have had their subs paid by their other halfs, thats got to be upwards of £700. But Yep I've had a good one and I'm more than happy with my haul. Glad everyone else has had a good one as well.

Loads of different variants with the same base engine really.
The majority of UK spec WRX models were 215-225bhp standard. The WRX STI came with a larger turbo and around 275-280bhp then there is the Japanese domestic models that were lighter and have more bhp...then there is the uk special edition models with up to 320bhp. Mine was a 215bhp WRX (currently around 240ish) and plans are under way to be more powerful than the highest standard output STI but not silly power as it needs to be reliable. So far it hasn't let me down at all, the snow performance has been exceptional it has to be said, all wheel drive with no daft ott electronic japery involved seems to keep it on the straight and narrow very well.

A 6 month subscription to Golf World!! :o

Rob, I'm glad you liked the present  :)

Looking forward to next year, might evem get a game of golf at some point. Played once since the start of November - a game lined up at Woking next Thursday but can't see it happening - if it does, it will be a deja vu of last year when we played there on frozen concrete greens. :D

A golfing pot pourri for me!

I got an umbrella holder for my electric trolley with matching umbrella. The umbrella's well good - it's a one button release jobbie!

Plus, I got a 'boot tidy' for my electric trolley which is good as I get fed up with the damn thing 'malting' grass and mud all over the boot!

I also got a Callaway uPro GPS machine. How good is that?

I'm well chuffed!

So, in the last three months I've had new irons (blessed by PH), a new brolley/bracket combo and a GPS - I'm going to be off scratch my March! :D
