I've always had a soft spot for Southerness. Along with Royal Lytham it's definately the Toughest course I've played. Nice area too, I've been thinking about a weekend in Kippford, a bit further up the Colvend coast.

How did you score Craw?
Last time I played it the fairways were rock hard so I was taking irons of every tee, I thought I played pretty well yet still came in with 91 playing off 10.
Taking driver off the tee with the amount of gorse lining them fairways was frightening. All the gorse was in bloom at the time, the course looked stunning
Very underrated IMO.

The only time I played there it was just like that..........except we had a howling gale, low cloud and horizontal rain:(:(.

Mind you, I almost had a hole-in-one at the short par 3 10th; my ball was plugged on the edge of the hole and deformed the cup! Had to wait another 29 years for my first hole-in-one which happened 3 weeks ago:clap:.
