Can't remember if I've said before but my grandmother in law runs a dairy farm next to the local golf course. One of the fields runs along 2 of the holes and so as you can imagine quite a few end up in there with the cows! Any way keeps me in ammunition as I've not really bought any balls for the last twelve months!

No after picking up the last batch I was a happy bunny as out of about 50ish balls less than 10 went straight to the practice bag.

Anyway my main point is that there were 7 tm pentas all with the same players marking! All looked brand new! This got me thinking of did they have a melt down and blast ball after ball OOB or is it a result a few rounds?

Anyway my gain along with plenty of prov1's etc plus some others to try out!

I went into some rough at my course about 2 weeks ago and as always never found my own ball but found 2 ProVix's with the same markings. I've been playing with them ever since :)

Over the last 5 months I've filled my practice tube with around 60+ balls I've found and used some of the better ones myself by remarking them ;)

The 9th at my local course is my nemesis at the minute.

389 yard, par 4. OOB left and right and a set of conifers encroching into the fairway.

Guess who takes an iron and hits the conifers most times

On my course I have a couple of places I "look" for balls as I know who will regularly put theirs in there and what they are. 4 players supply most of my balls and they are pretty much always in very good nick with most being one hitters. Keeps me in proVs, AD333s and Srixon soft feels. A little wipe with acetone or nail varnish remover and remark.

I never buy balls, my 10 year old staffie finds them for me. We go up to Mortonhall Golf Course 18th hole. And we find 100 balls per walk. Happy days, and a happy dog, lots of treats. I keep the premium balls, and i hand the others into the junior section at my club.

A while back whilst playing on my own and waiting to play I decided to view the course and look for balls from someone hitting unmentionables. Actually thinking about it my recent bout of these is no doubt the golfing gods wreaking revenge. Anyhow, found 3 brand new Callaway Tour balls with the same, very neat and precise dot markings on them. Someone was having a very bad round!

Well if they ever drain the pond next to the sixth green in our place they are going to find an awful lot of Wilson Staff Dx2's with a green dot above and below the last "f" :(

Our 13th , loads of room to the right, cabbage and trees down the left, I've thrown more dx3's with orange spots in there over 18 months than all other courses combined!

... Never bloody find them either
