The Grinder Of Pars (Semi Crocked)
Usual Friday battle between Myself, Fragger and CVG today and some cracking golf played by all.
My handicap cut hasn't come through yet but I played off 7 to keep the others happy...!!
Fragger stormed the front 9, I stormed the back 9 and CVG was very steady.
Although I only returned 16 points for the front, I had 3 birdies in the first 7 holes - 2 doubles too though...
Fragger accumulated 22 points on the front - 44 strokes to my 16 (41) and CVG's 19 (41) so all to play for coming home.
Fragger lost the plot a little but still finished with another 17 for 39 points, CVG shot 39 for 21 points to finish on 40 - equalling his PB, and I shot 36 for 20 points to bring up the rear on 36 - would have been 38 if I'd have played off 9.
So a really good day's golf by all 3 of us.
Fragger once again provided the Champagne Moment - on the 16th, as we walked towards the green, there was a ball in the middle of our fairway. We assumed it was from the group ahead on the 17th tee. When we got to the 17th tee, none of them had gone over to the 16th to fetch it so CVG and Me reckoned Fragger should pick it up his way down as he normally slices in that general direction - No says Fragger, this is going down the middle.
Well, suffice to say Fragger went and picked up the stray ball............
