So who broke the forum layout?

Re: everything squashed up?

Just tried the actual forum. Sorry guys (or maybe time to set up a party) but I'm out. I'll keep checking back but until things are resolved this is my last post.

Chris and Steve I've asked Brendy to forward my mobile number to you so you can contact me about next Thursday as I don't trust the PM system at the mo.

It's pretty grim on the laptop but I feel for those of you working with tablets and mobiles.
What in hell is the point having one third of the posts blank space, it compresses everything.
I was impressed with the previous layout compared with its predesessor so it's not as if I'm attacking this change for the sake of it.
All for the sake of two block ads. at the top right, not to be seen again until a different post is sellected.
The whole thing is PANTS and I would not blame dozens of you abandoning ship.

Re: everything squashed up?

Gents, first things first, like most guys, the web dev guys probably dont work 24/7. There is a problem, we can all see it, especially in the PM pages. Give the guys a chance tomorrow and it should all be back to business as usual. All this talk of jumping ship is a little premature in my opinion.

Re: everything squashed up?

Surprised it wasnt tested offline first with a few users.. Maybe it was though and they didnt see an issue with it? Either way, it could be a massive own goal if it's not changed, but I'm sure it will be as Brendy said above.

Absolutely ****ing *****.

Think that's sums up my feelings on the matter.

Re: everything squashed up?

Greed. all users hate the new layout. time to make a choice mike... users vs advertisers.

I will not be hanging around if this layout stays, sorry.

Although I dont like the current problem, I'm sure the issue will be recitfied and I wont be leaving so soon.

Like everything, things get fine tuned and altered based on feedback and I'm sure GM towers will take comments on board and find a happy medium.

I've had too much good advice and spoke to some good guys on here to jump ship

Re: everything squashed up?

Good work guys, sign on to get the final people's names for Thetford and can't read my pm's. Hopefully it will be fixed tomorrow...think GM need to send me something as a prize for the meet due to the inconvinience... ;)
