Slow Play (probably the only time I will get to moan about it)

I was held up today by four muppets in buggies, for 5 holes, before lightning stopped the round. Muppets in buggies really get me annoyed, they seem to lose the use of their legs completely as soon as they sit in the buggy. They also seem to automatically go from fairway to fairway regardless of anyone else's game being held up by them driving across the fairway to chip back onto their own side. They also only seem to have two speeds, either stopped or flat out. There must be an equation to work out how annoying they are, Muppet + Buggy x number in group = Pain in the A..e.

By the way, I am not the fastest golfer, so this will probably be the only time I get to moan about being held up so I thought I would have a jolly good moan rather than just mentioning it in another post.

Luckily I've been blessed with well mannered 4/3 ball groups who are slower on a hole.

No, they didnt even let me tee off at the 7th where you are supposed to let following players tee off before going on to the green. I actually let a buggy through as I hoped a buggy would be invited through prompting them to let me through as well, but lightning stopped the round on the following hole.

You are probably right Tommo but when i go out on the course I am very aware of whats going on around me, and always ask people to play through or at least ask if they would like to. I just imagined everyone would be courteous like that, I even considered missing a hole, but really didn't want to. To be honest it wasn't really being held up that annoyed me it was that they obviously were muppets and were driving all over the course like racer boys. I must be turning into such a grumpy old man
