Slow Play and bad attitude

Never understand why you'd want someone sitting up your backside, we have a group that go out just in front of us who always lose 2-3 holes on the group in front of them and point blank refuse to let anybody through, must be a bit of little man syndrome.

They're probably the same people sitting at 70mph in the middle lane with clear tarmac either side of them!

Word for word my sentiments exactly! We eventually got let through yesterday by a 3 ball, we being a 2 ball, after 9 torturous holes. No joke their longest drive between them was a normal golfer's 7 iron and when we did get through we both hit 3 irons to ensure we weren't wayward. They actually hit their 2nds to to short of our tee shots before we'd hit our approaches.

Sadly the only reason we got through was by getting the guy out from the pro shop. Fair play to him he threatened them with a tee time sanction of after midday for 6 weeks if they repeat offend again.

I would love to play a round with someone but I can't find a game, no idea why.

I think not getting let through today was my fault.

In the rush to get out before some groups I slipped by them on the path to the tee. Little bit rude of me I think, they were walking normally but there was plenty of space to go by.

I hopped into the nets to hit a few shots but they didnt. I hit two then arrived at the tee before they teed off. As I single I am usually let through there and then. These guys didn't and teed off.

IMHO I deserved it... I wasn't let through so I backed off the pace, took my time. They were quite speedy despite sharing one bag between them. Worked out in the end but I told myself off for being so rude!

Every one at some stage been stuck behind slow play. I try to avoided it if I can.

Mainly the slow play in our club is women. They have to go out in three balls now for this reason. Well supposed to

However the last time I came across slow play it was a few sats ago I sorted it out no problem. I walked off. Four ball of women and two men and two women in front of that. 1.5 hours for 5 holes. Clearly they should have been a 3 ball and the 2 men and women should have let ones passed. But no warden or anyone to speak to them they play away like this. Like I said I try to avoid it but it's not easy as they play in the afternoon same as myself due to work commitments

Anyways seen enough no intention of trying to let anyone passed. So said to myself what's the point of standing here all afternoon. I have worked 50+ hours this week and have better things to do with my time than stand ten minutes for every shot. And destroy my swing with frustration .

Tbh Starting to get feed up with my club and the women everywhere​ on it. The new pro of course all for them he's is almost got a licence to print money with lessons off them. Poor folks can't even hit the ball a 100 yards don't understand why they be giving him 20 quid for 20mins of his time.

And you probably don't want women in the clubhouse either do you? Is your course twinned with Muirfield?

You better never come and play at my club then as there is a good female membership contingent, including a female chairperson of our committee. I am a mentor at our club and have taken my other half and one of her friends out who have both just taken up golf and we can easily walk 9 holes in under 2 hours without holding anyone up, so don't blame the slow play on women as I am willing to bet there will be just as many men who are just as slow if not slower than the women

You don't have to jump on the sexism bandwagon. He didn't say all women are slow at golf, he just said his club has a lot of slow-playing women. He even said the club has mandated that they only go round in three balls so it's obviously a problem there and not just his opinion.

People can't wait to take offence to things nowadays.
