Can I have a refund please?
Any modern sky people with now TV or alike is laughing now .
As someone who mostly works from home already and doesn't have Sky Sports, welcome to my world everyone.![]()
But do Sky have a clause in their contract to recoup money back from the premier league, PGA tour etc. if they fail for any reason to provide a product? This is not Sky’s fault and I wouldn’t be asking for a discount on my subscription because of this

I decided a long while back that I can live without Sky despite growing up with it.
Far too expensive when I would probably only find a few hours a week to watch and the rest of the family are already satisfied with a couple of streaming services.
I make do with the BBC coverage of the rugby league via their highlights show.
When they restructure more like a streaming service and get rid of the pointless need to have the box and dish I will probably reconsider.
Sky have less than 10 years to modernise or they likely face a very uncertain future.
That must be covered by the crowds under 500 clause. It's alright. There was a great game of Rugby League on tonight.
It's business. Vast majority of Sky and BT customers will be on some kind of time based offer where you have a discount for 12 or 18 months, but can't cancel during that period. So I guess you have to get on with it.
the world of sport has a lot of people who are SE contractors, whether they are presenters, commentators, camera men, journalists, competitors. Of course a lot of the top stars and top executives who will be fine through this and take some down time etc. But for a LOT of people they will lose thousands in income and be on the breadline within a week or so, until this is over and beyond.
I'm sure the vast majority of football league clubs and Scottish league clubs will effectively run out of money within the next few weeks and many will go into administration or require a significant cash injection.
The same goes for the airline industry where thousands will lose their jobs / income and may never get back up to the same position again.
If all you can do is moan about your Sky subscription or your cancelled holiday then you are completely missing the point about how serious this is getting. And that's before anyone even contracts the virus or loses someone close to them.

Sky are piggybacking onto the openreach fibre network that's rolling outTend to agree. I'm amazed Sky have not more aggressively moved away from the Dish and box technology. They must spend millions on this infrastructure a month, compared with investing that into a fibre or 5G network that customers could use.
They obviously made a decision a while ago that they weren't going to pay into the fibre network and as a result their broadband is rubbish.
