Moving on from the BBC/Sky debate, I have been watching The Ryder Cup on Sky HD but I also notice that it is the first sporting event to be broadcast in 3D. While I think HD id fantastic I cannot see the benefits of 3D television.
Has anyone experienced 3D TV and is it just a Flash In The Pan gimic?

I saw it in the sky "kiosk" in the tented village in the ryder cup and personally I dont think it is worth all the money. It does make it a better experience but the quality isnt too good. I think Ill wait til sky sports 3D HD

Watched Sunday afternoons RC in 3D at The George in Harpenden...they charged a pound for the glasses.
Firstly, I was amazed at how few people were watching it......most were watching the Chelsea/Arsenal game.

Second, there were a lot of fuzzy moments, mainly because you have to watch it at exactly eye height for the 3D to work properly and we were sitting down!

Some bits were good but on the whole, I was disapponted.
