As a big united fan all my life I see this man as an absolute legend so I say the following with all the love in the world. I think it would be better for him if he were to pass peacefully in his sleep. If he survives this type of stroke the damage caused is usually immense and as such the quality of life very limiting. I say this with knowledge of the condition.
He was an all action man and stoutly independent. I would hate to see him significantly different to this, as I suspect he would himself. God bless you Alex
My wife suffered a brain haemorrhage in 2001 and made an almost complete recovery after emergency open brain surgery. I'm glad she didn't pass in her sleep!
For you and your wife I am glad also. That said she falls within the small minority and those that do are blessed. It's never an easy topic to discuss and I mean no insensitivity or disrespect but there are a lot of people who would prefer to die peacefully than suffer the consequences of living with such disability.

Mods. Any chance of changing the title?
Embarrassing
Can’t change them all as it’s a manual job. But changed the first and the last few , so any replies now should have his proper name ðŸ‘
never really warmed to him but I certainly wish him a full and speedy recovery .
