Sir Alex Ferguson

Re: Sir Alec Ferguson

A very frightening condition i sincerly hope he pulls through.

Re: Sir Alec Ferguson

That’s not a nice operation - hope he pulls through ok.

Re: Sir Alec Ferguson

I'm thinking of you, Fergie.
This is one you just have to win .................... we want more Fergie time.

Re: Sir Alec Ferguson

The times I’ve met him he’s been a complete gentleman and a legend. Pull through this, nobody is ready for you to lose this battle

Re: Sir Alec Ferguson

As a big united fan all my life I see this man as an absolute legend so I say the following with all the love in the world. I think it would be better for him if he were to pass peacefully in his sleep. If he survives this type of stroke the damage caused is usually immense and as such the quality of life very limiting. I say this with knowledge of the condition.

He was an all action man and stoutly independent. I would hate to see him significantly different to this, as I suspect he would himself. God bless you Alex

My wife suffered a brain haemorrhage in 2001 and made an almost complete recovery after emergency open brain surgery. I'm glad she didn't pass in her sleep!

For you and your wife I am glad also. That said she falls within the small minority and those that do are blessed. It's never an easy topic to discuss and I mean no insensitivity or disrespect but there are a lot of people who would prefer to die peacefully than suffer the consequences of living with such disability.

Whilst I agree that she is extremely lucky and the recovery rate is not high, I feel that without knowing the details of AF's condition it is some what premature to jump to conclusions.

I must be one of the few on here who has seen him play.
Old 'Razor Elbows' played like he managed....nae quarter given.

Hope his strength of character carries him through this.
He worked so hard all his life, a bit of quality time in his retirement is well deserved.
