Yes it looks like ive achieved my main aim for the season of reaching single figures after yesterdays comp. Started the bogey comp with a h'cap of 9.7 and shot a 74 (par 71) for a +5.

Due to recent form i had very little expectations setting out, and it wasnt until i was walking up the 18th that i realised i would be making it into single digits.

If only i could hole 18" putts i could of been 2 shots lower!

Expect to be cut to 8.9 so should at least have a couple of comps before returning to double digits! :D

Onward and downward? I assume you use Seal Sands as a big bunker and hazard at Billingham?

Indeed, well done.

Just remember that one of the peculiarities about qualifying Bogey comps is that Birdies on shot holes don't count any more than Pars for handicap - as well as the + for the win. So your reduction might not be quite as much as you would expect.

Thanks. Thats why im only expecting a .8 cut - if was strokeplay it would probably have been 1.2. But a cut is a cut, and greatly received aftet playing like a knob for the last couple of months

Well done John0. A huge weight lifted if you feel anything like I did.

It also takes the pressure off staying there in a strange kind of way because you've done it now.
I reckon you'll have another couple of cuts in the next few weeks.

Cheers gary. Your right about the huge weight as its been my target for a couple of seasons now so its a big relief to finally make it.

Unfortunately im getting the keys to my new house next week and have loads of work to do on it so those cuts may have to wait a couple more weeks til i can get time to play again

Are you putting these with your eyes open?

Apart from that, well played and good luck with the house move.
I guess you got fed up squatting ?

Putt with eyes open... is that what im supposed to do? :D

Afraid the Mrs has finally came to her senses and evicted me :p
