Great effort. Are you still at Wimbledon Common? Who's the new pro? (has Jeff Jukes retired?). I can imagine that the course will have played short (I remember playing it in the summer of 76) but with the small greens there it's still hard to make a score. Very impressed by the way you've dropped so don't stop now and Cat 1 is next. Keep it going

It was playing short in the summer, not really now though, it's back to normal with the greens being receptive. It's still not hard to make a score because of the CSS and so easy to lose a ball with the course being so bloody tight!

Yea, Jeff recently just left, we have hired a new younger pro, he specialises in the short game. He's a breath of fresh air, he really wants to help people and comes into the clubhouse to ask how people have got on etc. Very impressed so far, and one of my mates has had a couple of lessons with him, and is now on the cusp of getting to 4 and raves about him.

He's on 4.8 right now, so that's my next target ;-) After a level par and under par round that is!
