Hey there people.
Im just going to buy my first pair of proper good golf shoes but wondering has anyone any good or bad experiences with the 3 i have in mind...... 1 Footjoy Contours
2 Footjoy Synergies
3 Adidas Tour 360 II
Also which is the better fit for wide feet... i no from trainers and that , that adidas are a fairly narrow fit is it the same with there golf shoes. ;)

I've had the contours in the past and I use the synr-g now, and would recomend either. I am slightly biased to footjoy's as I've never had a problem with them, and they feel great straight from the box.

Ya kinda swaying towards the footjoys alright...
i dunno about the adidas.... there something false about them..... they scream fashion but im sceptical about the build quality... iv played alot of football up to now and i cant say 1 good thing about adidas soccer boots thats whats turning me against the golf shoes i think..

Without a doubt if you pay a little more the Adidas Tour 360 ltd are the best you can buy. I love mine so very much, I had worn them once before the longest day and they didnt hurt one bit.

I wore my FJ's on the longest day and the didn't hurt either nor did my feet smell afterwards. I love FJ's and I'm getting addicted to the myjoy site. Can't wait for the 20th anniversary dryjoys to come out - a black pair and a white pair are calling my name already

I've always had FJs and never had any cause for complaint.

and on a side note, Got to disagree with you about adidas. Adidas World cup are an icon and are still the king of footy boots after nearly 30 years.

HTL, what are Adidas like for sizes ? Are they generous or tight ? I'm a size 10, and have quite broad feet, not flippers, but certainly not narrow.

I've got the FJ Lo-Pro, and I have to say I'm disappointed in them. The surface has cracked, and the white layer has started peeling off. Although they are still comfortable, they don't look only 3 months and about 20 rounds old.

I have been wiping them down after nearly every round, with a damp cloth or baby wipe, and then I've applied a small amount of Kiwi Neutral polish and waterproofer.

Sorry there atticus finch i was being a little biased there.....
the world cups are a good boot in there own right.... a very narrow fit but the one boot iv had trouble with is there new preditors... the way theres a seperate sole and heel set up.. iv been lucky at best to get 1 season out of these, and these are 200 € boots, and there washed and cared for after every game... the reason i say this is that there Tour 360 II's have the same set up and im a bit sceptical that these may end up the same way......
If footjoys made football boots they'd probably make a killing if there golf shoes are as comfortable as everyone is saying they are...

If you didn't keep buying so many pairs of bloody shoes you would be able to buy that GoKart you keep on about. That would be a lot more beneficial to your game than two more pairs of brothel creepers
:D :D :D :D :D ;)

My original black dryjoy brogues are ten years old and finally the leather is cracking so the the new black ones will replace those and the white ones just look so stylish and they'll be replacing my black/white hi-tec's. I'm busy squirreling money away for my go-kart

I think everyone is squirreling money away.... id want to fleece a bank im looking to buy so much :D
I think im gonna decide on the FootJoy synergies. stretch the extra few bob for the technology... now the only thing is the white or black

Personally I dont know what people go on about with Adidas sizing issues. I am a size 10 in all my shoes, the Adidas were no different.

Go into a store where they stock them as you can get different width shoes.

Some people have wider feet than others HTL I for 1 am one of them.... im a size ten and its rare that all shoes are the same.... take for instance nike... there size 10 fitting is much wider and more comfortable om me than anything adidas iv tried on and im not a massive brand follower.....

Got my FJ dryjoys last july from DIRECT GOLF at Bury, last couple of times its been raining both feet have become slighty damp took the shoes back to DIRECT GOLF today and were replaced with a new pair after 11 months GREAT SERVICE from DIRECT GOLF

All decent makes, footjoy probably the better in my mind, but the main thing is getting the right fit for you. Trying a pair on isnt always the best measure, you really need to swing a club with them on and concentrate where the pressure is on your feet or where the rubbing might be. Some golf shoes are brill to put on and feel great strolling around in front of the mirror, but you need a pair that feel ok when you are playing not posing, so make sure you try them out as best you can in the shop before splashing the cash, that way you might have less regrets. ;)

I have the adidas 360 ltd and I really like them. A very solid shoe. I am a size 11 and I have wide foot. But when I got my Adidas golf shoes in 11 they were a bit tight, so I got size 12's and they were perfect.
