Zero rarely actually means zero. It usually means the lower limit of detection, i.e. there is always a bit of "noise" in any lab test, so the floor for the test is sometimes a shade above zero.

The amount of alcohol in a steak and ale pie or a sherry trifle is so low as to be effectively zero. Probably more alcohol in some of the boozy chocolates from Hotel Chocolat.
