This is a heads-up for those who might be interested.

I've used Sealskinz socks for a while and they work just great. Absolutely waterproof.
In another thread I saw people suggesting Dexshells as alternative, and since they are half the price of Sealskinz, I figured I'd try them out.

This is just one data point, of course, but I have to report that the Dexshells did NOT perform anywhere near as well as Sealskinz. For sure they kept my feet a bit drier than ordinary socks, but the water still got through, which never happens at all with Sealskinz. Maybe it's because I got the ultrathin Dexshells (which were indeed somewhat thinner than Sealskinz).

Thanks for this post. I have some Sealskinz socks but was very interested in getting some Dexshell ones as they seemed thinner and so more comfortable on warmer days. The Sealskinz socks have never leaked.

Hopefully some others will post and give their experiences of the Dexshell versions.
