Is it worth going bigger, just searched and I think I can go right up to 32
I think 16 would suffice

I have the same phone,with the same problem.have repeatedly deleted everything, cleared both sd card and phone memory and 2 days later its back. After doing some digging its a known fault with HTC. I will never get this brand again, plagued with problems from the volume button not working and constant crashing, coupled with the worst battery life I've ever experienced. Lucky ifi get an hour out of it now.
I've not experienced it as bad as you and I've had HTC's before this one but I am starting to get a bit miffed now. My volume switch starting to struggle but now its completely fell out, I've still got it but it won't stay in! Battery life is poor, I changed the light on the screen which uses the most % of battery and it improved but I struggled to read anything at times, especially when really sunny, the screens just a glaze!
I'm in the market for a new phone or good second-hand one but I don't want a contract, currently on Giff Gaff (since December) and have no issues at all but the phones are silly prices

What phone are you looking for?
Something that I can access the internet on, read my messages/emails, take photos, all the general stuff really Bob. I don't do that much on it tbh, Oh, I do use the locations app on my current pone as a sat nav.

Which network are you with, Vodaphone / T-mobile etc?
I'm using Giff Gaff which is a sim only company who go through O2, it can be put in any unlocked phone.
