Scottish Fitba'

Good to hear there are 2500 rangers fans getting to the game on Sunday.. Should add a good bit to the atmosphere.
I've got corporate through work and taking a few clients.. Not sure how I feel about beers at 11am.... I am sure I'll manage tho.
First ever old firm game so should be an experience...
Never been to an OF game? I’ve been to several in 80s and 90s. Amazing and scary experience at the same time.

Hated the one and only time I went to Parkhead. Sat in the stand with Celtic fans very close to me. Rangers scored first, thought I would get murdered and was quite glad when Celtic equalised. 🤣

I reckon I've been to well over 100. First one was actually at Ibrox in the old enclosure at the front of the main stand. Best one was 6-2 game, the place was rocking.

Lol... Sounds a bit scary indeed..

My best OF game was 5-1 at Ibrox. Frank McAvennie scored first and the late, great Ray Wilkins scored a beauty.

Remember that game well, was a tremendous strike from Wilkins right enough. Funnily enough my first game Ian Durrant scored a belter and I said so. Took me and my mates about 10 minutes to convince the people round me I wasn't a Rangers fan.

Hardly missed a game home or away for about 25 years. Only go to home games now.
I stopped going in the late 1990s. Left my work in Edinburgh about 4pm for a European game and missed the start of the game. Was getting back into golf and have only been to a few games since.

They are astonishing, thrilling and horrid all at the same time.

I was with my brother at the 1988 OF game at Parkhead when Celtic fans wore gorilla suits and lobbed bananas at Mark Walters (he was the first black player to play for Rangers in the modern era). My brother was a Celtic fan. We were in the 'Celtic End' of the old Parkhead. At half time my brother said to me that he couldn't stand it - so we went down to the front - called a bobby over - and asked if we could switch to the other end. He took his Celtic scarf off and dropped it on the ground before we walked in front of the main stand. That day he became a bluenose and now season ticket holder.

NB. Official attendance that day was 60,800 - but some time later Celtic admitted that more like 72,000 were at the game - easy enough to do in the days of Parkhead's huge standing ends and the jungle.

Remember those days, disgusting. Parkhead was not the only ground where Mark Walters was treated like that. Absolutely horrible.

Brilliant result over 2 legs. Pleased for JB who has taken some stick. Couldn’t care a jot about Sunday now.
Rangers ARE on a different level to Celtic. 🤣
4 home defeats in a row. Aggregate 1-7. Different level indeed.

And you’re fooling no one saying you don’t care about Sunday!
