Just received an email saying for this years British open I'm going to be a scorecard carrier !

Getting paid to hold up a scorecard whilst walking round with the pro's .

Can't wait :D anyone else going to the open this year ?

Not sure I can put down in writing what I am thinking now but it starts with a word that almost rhymes with lucky and ends in something like mustard.

Have a great time, just hope the weather is better than last year for you and your new friends.

thats just the start of the slippery slope from scorecard holder to standing at the street corner with the GOLF SALE placard:whistle:

well done, post who you are out with and we can watch you on the beeb

Enjoy. You know its going to rain and blow a gale that week now! Bet you don't care if it does
Just hope it does not get windy, those boards are not light and are great sails in the wind.

Last year I was scoring at the Wales open, the board carrier with me not only lost one of the players names off the board but almost lost the board in one strong gust of wind!

Also, pray you do not get Monty, he will tell you on the first tee that he does not want to see you again for the rest of the round! Most of the players are great though.

Having said that, it is a great way to get to see the players in your groups close up, you will enjoy it.

Presumably Mony doen't like seeing a board with his over par score on it Anthony ? Well done Ally. Have you been given the dress code yet ?

Absolutely briliant Ally.. well done. That's going to be a day you will remember forever.

Keep us posted on who you get. Bob will be making you a generous cash offer to wear a V-Easy t-shirt for 4 days...

I'd just like to add without stealing your thunder, but I recieved a call last night asking if I'd like to accompany Bubba and caddy for him during his practice rounds then walk with him during the Open itself, he's asked if I'll tweet during the round for all his fans and he'll give me a set of his clubs and a lesson on the range afterwards.

I was about to ask if I can bring my wife and son when the alarm went off and I had to get up
