We've all made them. My latest is leaving my golf clubs in the shed the last few months. Just checked and bag, hats and head covers are growing mould!. Whoops - shouldn't have done that.

What have you done?

Turning up at the club without much time to spare just to remember my clubs were in the garage - and done that more than once with my golf shoes. And of course losing my glasses when they are on top of my head - but that's a given.

Built a Wendy house for my daughter.
Very last nail couldn’t reach so just propped the step ladder up against it .
Slipped and dislocated my ankle.
Massive lesson learned .
Shocking injury worst I have ever had , 25 yrs ago and still have probs with it now.
Stupid thing is I was a crane driver and up and down ladders all my working life.

Waterproof H2NO golf bag. Put a bottle with a litre of blackcurrant squash in the bag not realising the lid wasnt on properly. Downside of being a waterproof bag the squash all stayed on the inside and too ages to clean lol

Was up in the loft on Sunday. Putting up Christmas decorations. No fixed loft ladder - just a hatch and a separate ladder. Went to go down ladder. Foot on top tread. Mrs SILH had moved the ladder and not put it back properly. It slipped and down I started to go...fortunately my brilliant Scottish goalkeeper reactions prevented my plunging through the hatch...floorwards...

Schoolboy error. Lesson learnt. Always check ladder is firmly set before stepping down on it.

I did exactly this, although it was my fault. Fell straight through onto the landing.

Did she take out an insurance policy on you recently ?

Was on a club MTB ride on a day trip to France. It was extremely hot weather, and I had a back-pack with drinks bladder built in....which I foolishly filled with Lucozade Sport and not the still version. After about 30 minutes the other side of the Chanel as we motored along, it forced the cap off and the contents filled my backpack and down my back. A Lucozade Sport soaked lycra shirt shirt in 30 plus degrees c was not a good thing to be wearing.

at the end of the 2019 season i switched from my tour bag to a carry bag for the winter comps at Nairn Dunbar. when we got back to golf in May last year i switched back to my tour bag. i stuck my hand in the right side pocket to take stuff out only to find the apples ( well what was left of them ) i'd taken off the tree to put in the bag in Oct... 7 months before:sick:

Many years ago a friend of mine had a job interview in Inverness. He thought he stay overnight nearby with a friend - he didn’t realise that Aberdeen wasn’t ‘Nairn’...
