Am I missing out?

I don't know if what I have to say will affect your thinking at all, but I recently bought a new driver (beginning of December I think it was). I had the Callaway Razr Black but it was slightly draw biased and the shaft had got waaaay too whippy so I went looking for other options. I went to AG who were excellent in letting me choose a few drivers (6 I think), taping them up and giving me a token for range balls too. I proceeded to hit them, including the Big Bertha, Ping G30 etc but what came out on top? (and quite comfortably I might add too) but the Ping G25 which was half the price of the G30. So I bought that. Its a great club and my driving has improved as a result with more length so I'm happy.

I'm testing a G25 and G30 tomorrow so it will be interesting to see if I find the same.

The adjustability in the Mizuno 850 is night and day better than the 910. The loft changes and moving weights really work whereas in the 910 I struggled to see much difference from one setting to the extreme other.

Why would you want to adjust it? Mine was fitted 3 years ago and hasn't moved since.

To the OP, before the 915 launch I would have said you aren't missing out but I have had some very good players rave to me about the 915, so much so that I'm tempted to upgrade myself

Peoples swings change. My swing changes on a weekly basis.

The amount of initial adjustability on offer by the jpx850 is miles ahead of the 910.

You're probably not missing out on distance. You might be missing out on forgiveness, but I don't imagine there'd be a huge difference, the 910 is a pretty awesome driver. Only way to find out for sure is to go and hit some new technology and see how it performs!

That vid has just saved me a sldr, long live the amp!

I am glad you asked this question as I am in the same boat with the same driver and after reading the replies I really don't think we are missing out and it boils down to 'want' over 'need'. If you have the cash for it and really want to upgrade for peace of mind why not? But I don't think it would improve your scores and you would lose the satisfaction of blasting your 5 year old banger past someone's £300 pound pride and joy:thup:
