So I'm sat up alone looking at Vega clubs and just how bad a player can you be to use these? Looking at some and they seem to have a decent cavity back. They just look so lovely on the screen. Would it be silly to save up and get a set and then if didn't get on with them either sell and try and get my money back by selling or keep in the basement just to look at and admire from time to time. More likely the latter option :)

Please tell me its not just me as her in doors things I'm strange for spending my nights looking at golf clubs.

The irons look lovely, but are they any better than other companies premier forgings?

I dont think so... they will be very good forgings with very good carbon steel but so are most forgings now.

I don't get the feel thing because its the shaft that transmits the vibrations. I tried several shafts in the mizuno's and some felt really bad and harsh and others made the impact feel soft and smooth.... So perhaps you need to look at your shafts, if they were the same shafts as the mizuno's you used, look at the club head weight.

After a "discusion" with the mrs its been decided that for christmas I can have a set of Vega irons unless I get the money sooner. Had to agree to a few t&cs but I hope it will be worth it. Hoping I can get them around October if careful. Watch I'll go for a demo/fitting and not get on with them at all. Roll on October :)

I got my hands on a set of Bridgestone J36 forged CBs not so long ago. Whilst not in the same league as Vega, they were still very good forgings. They had that "decent looking cavity" on them but by god were they hard to hit. Even with the CB design (which looks deeper in pictures than it is in reality) anything but a pured shot felt like my fingers would fall off
